Oris Swiss Watch and Nico Rosberg

 

23 September, 1:30pm Singapore, Millenia Walk







The Singapore GP, the night race is a few days away.   The usual 4-lane road, only 1 lane is passable for vehicles with special pass and public transports.  The other 3 lanes become the part of the race-track. 
All the high power lights, fittings and barricades are up.

Arrived at Millenia walk at 1:25pm...took a couple of shots of Cortina's window display ...

Staff on standby to welcome their VIP clients ....and of course the arrival of Nico Rosberg.  

I went over to the main-atrium to register myself first ...

The Oris exhibition is at the main atrium of Millenia Walk ( name of a big mall in Singapore, with many watch retailers)... above is the Williams Toyota FW30...

One of the pieces showcased  is no other than the Oris Nico Rosberg Limited Edition

The Oris TT3 Chronograph....sometimes from far looks like the Oris TT3 Limited Edition.  However this piece there is a sub-dial at 9'o clock position.

At 1:40pm, received a signal that Nico Rosburg soon ETA in 3 minutes....Calmly I sneaked out

Cool look....a couple of shots before he walked into the mall....

Arrived in Cortina to meet the fans and clients ...

So after all the group photographs, there was a window of opportunity....just a mere 2 seconds, Nico was left alone.

I asked him if he can post with his watch....arr...the rest of the photographers were snapping away, while I repositioned his arm.
I shot without flash ...so need the light!

He is nice, asking me in between 'is the light ok?'...

This gentleman started the cap-signing exercise!!!

Within minutes, all the caps were gone!!

Here were 4 happy ORIS fans....

After that, Nico was shown those special watch-treasure chest....

After that he was interviewed by a TV channel ...

The filming .... I left to the main atrium, as Nico will proceed there to meet the Press.

This round intend to be different , also to avoid the crowd...and with aerial views ....to show the massive response on a Tuesday afternoon at 2:15pm.

Bubblies were served while the Press people were waiting...

2:30pm....the emcee greeted the press and inform that Nico Rosburg would be appearing soon. While waiting she gave a brief bio of Nico Rosburg.

After that, a few words from Paul.  He thanked the press for appearing as he understood, this week is an extremely busy week for the press people.

While Paul was addressing the press, Nico was approaching with Jeremy Lim ...

Nico waited patiently for the queue ...

I'm enjoying my vantage point...

Now it's Nico time....the emcee was asking him a few questions...

Nico was mentioning he's having jetlag...he was in the threadmill at about 4am in the morning.
Another thing he mentioned, the night race could be tricky and the lighting and rain could be a challenge.

After that he was escorted to the Williams Toyota FW30 with a build-in simulator.... like an arcade machine  

He will start with his best time...and after that a few selected fans will challenge his time. 
He said he has been beaten before
