Looks very good on your wrist...

Lots of original details in design with LW, and that is commendable.

Thanks for the thorough work here.

 By: ED209 : February 28th, 2014-22:39
The Linde Werdelin Spidolite Tech Gold was introduced at Baselworld 2013 and represents Linde Werdelins approach to using new materials. This particular model is part of the Spido watch collection (with the Oktopus in the other) designed by founders Mort...

Linde Werdelin Spidolite Tech Gold - Part 2

 By: ED209 : March 1st, 2014-00:20
The Spidolite watch is made up of three main components, the inner case (ALW), the outer case (forged carbon) and bezel (18k rose gold). Linde Werdelin also offers a comparable model, the Spidolite Tech Green which has a ceramic bezel paired with forged c...

Linde Werdelin Spidolite Tech Gold - Part 3

 By: ED209 : March 1st, 2014-00:34
After nearly a month of daily wear I came to really enjoy the Spidolite Tech Gold. The lightweight materials made the watch very comfortable to wear. The rose gold bezel provided a visual contrast to the dark colored forged carbon, and the red accents tie...

Great Review !

Always admired the case work from LW. Skeletonizing the dial etc is a great touch and gels with the overall look. Although the movement is nothing to shout about , like wise the work done works as an overall concept. Thanks for the review. Can really see ...

Great lume shot and good choice...

Great lume shot and good choice by the designers to have that, it's these type of details that make it stand out. I wouldn't have notice on most reviews but glad you took it so we can identify it as a cool feature. Thanks again for the review! -MW

Casual timepiece with high tech materials

Thanks flamenco. Agree with you about the movement and the overall concept. I wore it to work (I'm in a suit and tie everyday) and agree that it's mainly for casual wear. I dressed up nicer for that dinner at Robuchon, but hey it's Vegas so I can be as bl...

Excellent review, Ed

I wish you had provided photos of the BBQ sauce immersion test. I'm sure L W wouldn't have minded :-) BTW - do they still sell a number of the clip-over calculator / computer modules, or is their focus primarily on the watches now? Cheers, Cazalea

Thanks cazalea

Good idea, I probably should have included a bottle of bbq sauce when I sent the Spidolite Tech Gold back to the LW staff :) Yes, the dive and ski instruments are still sold by LW, maybe we should ask them to loan you one of The Reef dive instruments for ...

Extra-long strap please!

I really liked the wristshots in so many different places, which show the presence of the watch. It is an extremely attractive watch, and I love the combination of materials and colours. I agree with you that the pseudo-modern "font" of the date makes it ...

Thanks for reading the review

Thanks Marcus for reading the review. I wish I could have had the watch a little longer to test it for some outdoor adventures. Regards, ED-209

I recently purchased a Spidolite II tech green and it's a very handsome watch.

Very light, sits nicely on the wrist, good lume though minute markers bit difficult to read sometimes. It's been running between +3,5-4s/day. Did you check the prototype when you had it? Thanks for the reviews!

Congrats on your Spidolite Tech Green

 By: ED209 : March 2nd, 2014-14:16
Hi Rei, Thanks for reading this report. Cool that you recently got a Tech Green. Actually I wanted test out the Tech Green because I love the color combination and was figuring that it would be even lighter than the Tech Gold. Agree with you on the lume m...

Check out the forged carbon when you have a chance

 By: ED209 : March 3rd, 2014-17:14
It's interesting that Linde Werdelin choose forge carbon. To me it has a different pattern than the AP Team Alinghi. Hope you can check out out soon. Thanks for reading the post on this Spidolite Tech Gold. Regards, ED-209

Thanks TM, the lightweight materials made it easy for daily wear

 By: ED209 : March 2nd, 2014-14:19
I enjoyed wearing it, very lightweight even with the gold bezel. It fit in well in casual environments particular when dining with fellow PuristS Regards, ED-209 ...

Thanks for the in-depth review Ed

I really like the look of this LW SpidoliteTech Gold, and it seems to be an extremely versatile watch when it comes to matching your outfit. The only thing I didn't like is the font for the date. I find it a tad difficult to read. Other than that, the str...

Agreed on the font

 By: ED209 : March 2nd, 2014-14:23
Thanks Anthony, I agree with you on the font. I think it was a combination of the font style, red colored number, and gold/brass colored background that made it a little hard to read. I'm guessing that on the Tech Green version (like Rei has) might be eas...
