I love to see these GTG

Friendship, fun, food and watches. Perfect. I can imagine you had lots of fun and great conversation. I loved the Genta-themed table shot (was that spontaneous or planned?) but surely there were more watches present? Wished I was there, of course, but thanks for bringing us all along with the photos.
Regards
Andrew

By: ED209 : April 20th, 2014-22:35
On Saturday evening, the SoCal area PuristS welcomed our good friend and fellow moderator Don Corson for a nice dinner GTG. It was great to see Don again and also to meet his lovely wife. There were familiar faces and very cool to meet some new PuristS at...

If you had came, you would've been the person with the second longest drive! Don and his wife doesn't count, because they flew.
Good times!

A great event!

The evening started well, first with free Valet parking for my rental car. The evening progressed well, with great company and food. Especially with Don Corson and his wife visiting from Geneva. I especially liked the wine! And the evening cumulated with ...
Did you bring some wine home?
By: ED209 : April 21st, 2014-17:55
:) Thanks for coming down for the GTG! I just remembered I didn't have a chance to check out the BR-Z (or was it a FR-S?) Regards, ED-209
Lol, I wanted to...

I wanted to! I hope it didn't go to waste! Too bad they don't have a wine doggie bag. My pet dog would appreciate it. The FRS was really quite interesting. I'll try to write up something about it. It's a true sports car, it has its own set of limitations,...
Can't wait to see your pics

Haven't seen you for 16 months!
By: patrick_y : April 25th, 2014-12:40
There's a nice group of three French-speaking antique Rolex collectors here who would enjoy your company. Not to mention our PuristSPro members who always enjoy your presence and come out in droves. Come and visit the land of fast cars (albeit not going ...
You had an Aussie Shiraz without me?
By: AndrewD : April 26th, 2014-00:28
That would have matched the steak perfectly. The Magill is a single vineyard, hand picked, basket pressed shiraz from Penfolds original vineyard founded at Magill in South Australia in 1844. Nicely balance oak and tannin from a specialty shiraz region. Ni...

... are going to be released next week. The standouts are said to be the 2010 St Henri Shiraz and the 2012 Bin 128 Coonawarra Shiraz. You have good taste, Thomas. Direct flight from Melbourne to LA these days. Easy! Andrew
Uh oh...

It was enjoyed immensely! It took a while to open up. I believe it was chosen by The Wandering Purist with consideration to Mrs. Corson's tastes.
