Perpetual Calendar changeover videos - instantaneous and leisurely

Moser Perpetual 1 - instantaneous changeover from February 28 to March 1 as seen in this 10 second video, in real-time.  The technology is very impressive, but blink - and you'll miss the change!

GO Senator Perpetual takes the more leisurely route - about 5 1/2 hours from when the date first starts moving until the day, date, and month snap into place.  Actually, the year indicator (white aperture under the GO logo) also moves one click, but since it is from white to white, impossible to tell smile  The slow change gives you the opportunity to enjoy and admire - and witness - the complexity of what is going on beneath the lovely dial.

Each hour takes 10 seconds in the following 1 minute video.

GO video was taken with an iPhone 6 (!)

And some static shots...

I recalled my Cal 39 based Navigator QP started moving around 20:30 and would finish the date change completely around 00:30. Looks like with Cal 100 they 'shift' the process about 1hr earlier... :-) ...

Great!

The date changes - when the new date snaps into place - are evenly space around 90 minutes apart (ca 7:40, 9:10, 10:45, 12:10). The "bad dates" - Feb 29, 30, 31 - are not quite so regular, but that may have something to do with how many date wheels / othe...

Cool videos. On my AP RO The day and month gradually starts changing after 9:30pm and completes the move to March 1 at midnight. It's been consistent over the past few years. I like how the Moser is instantaneous. Regards, ED-209
