I’m one of those who like the gap among case and strap: to my eyes, this gap highlights case and dial of the watch… best, massi

Just thicker might not be the best solution but if you order a strap custom made, they can take that into consideration by leaving a bit more leather between the end of the strap and the pin holes of the straps

This is not exactly the same as simply getting a thicker strap but can yield the same results. My local strap maker does take the holes distance to the case into consideration for every strap I order

Ventilation 😉

my first thought as well!

My solution

is to order curved end straps, and install them with the straight bars. It works a wonder on Rolex, and avoids straps being eaten by the case.

To avoid strap rubbing against the case?

Else it can only be a design oversight 😂

I have also wondered that

The watch itself is and looks awesome but the gap between the lugs and the case gets me paying the attention more to the gap than the dial.

Mind the gap : )

My real answer to the question is, they do that because it looks better that way!

Honestly, I don’t get that either…

To me, that’s an unsightly gap. I would think they would have used a curved strap spring bar pin to make it look less noticeable like on my Flyback. ...

Thx, yeah me neither.
