Monday pictures - IWC 3878-02

Team,

Last Saturday, a dear friend decided that this one was a tad bigger for his wrist.

It's big, 43mm, but I'm a sucker for an "in house" IWC (makes a nice pairs with my Portuguese Classic chronograph), in special with this gorgeous dial.

Let's see it, on four quick shots that I took this morning:

On top of a 1915 naval binocular (?):

A B&W is mandatory:

A dial close up. Love this radial reflexes:

A great week to all,

Nilo

Note: All pictures made with a Canon EOS M, using the night feature (it takes 4 pictures and merges)

. . . a Sunday pic! Gratifying to see your collection expand in new directions, Nilo. Just traded my one vintage IWC for an equivalent Omega, a case of 'better the one you know than the one you don't'. Modern IWC is, of course, another story altogether; i...

And that's the reason that I don't have anything vintage. I cal 89 was offered to me and the price was fine (it's a gold cased one) and I was about to get it when I remember how hard is to get parts from any other brand but Omega (and Rolex). About IWC, I...

When I was active with IWC, before 2005, they were renowned not only for the amount of original spare parts they had in store, but for the fact they were still getting parts manufactured for their more common vintage calibers. On one factory visit I saw t...

In Brazil your surprises will be much more. The simple buying of a watch strap is a lottery in terms of time and taxes. Our customs makes almost an impossible proposition for an individual the shipping to/from any complete watch to/from overseas and even ...

. . . independent suppliers, Steve. There's a golden opportunity to produce critical components for vintage movements. Here's hoping someone takes up the challenge. Art
