Did they solve the bouncy wobbling floor problem at Watches & Wonders?

Oct 03, 2014,00:17 AM

In 2013, the floors in all the booths bounced and wobbled just from guests walking by. It was worst in Cartier and Lange booths (shock! horror! probe!) because they were the biggest with huge displays. It did not FEEL luxurious to see the displays wobbling but it did make the sparkling diamonds "move" more light.

The Lange dial painter had big issues getting lines straight.

I suspect that the power of Cartier would have "cured" the problem this year.

MTF

Compared to the SIHH, is WW reserved to some " happy fews ", or is ti allowed to public in general? I find many similarities between SIHH and WW, but I don't know if WW is allowed the the public. I agree with your last sentence. This kind of event allow y...

Watches and Wonders open to 3 types of visitors

Nico Ostensibly, there are 3 guest lists: Media guests. Brand guests. Dealer guests. But as in Life, there are two tiers in each list...VIP and Regular ;) I would say W&W is halfway between Baselworld and SIHH in entry difficulty. Generally, the brand...

Things were less bouncy this year

but there was still a major indentation in the ground in the AP booth. I agree, it sure didn't make the HKCEC venue look that professional for holding such an event.
