Horological Meandering

This evening, several PuristS friends in Singapore welcomed Dr Kol and his wife, as well as Esharp to singapore with our traditional PuristS gtg! It was amazing to meet these 3 superb watch collectors from overseas in person and we all enjoyed the good co...  

With some really amazing watches to go with it. I especially like the Minerva and the Parmigiani...great pieces in all. Seems like every GTG is more fun than the last...

Those are very kind words, Nico, and thank you very much. This Minerva is a humble timepiece with great emotional value for me - a special gift when I was younger, and a representative of values I increasingly consider difficult to find in modern watchmak...

It is a superb watch! Very hefty in platinum. I think it's the heaviest wrist watch I have handled in the metal! Raymond, PuristS gtgs are really fun! Hope you can join us someday too! Or some of the gtgs in your region Cheers Robin

We were pretty jet-lagged and Anne (10 months) was so tired that we left quite early. But more next time. The picture "spot the difference" I like a lot. The one that is "real stuff" is mine and the other one I'm calling a "fake" made by Patek Philippe Ge... 

I have always enjoyed your posts here and very happy we could finally meet! :) Your real stuff (for the nautilus) is my dream! :) For now I live with the "fake" lol. Enjoy the rest of your stay here and hope you and your family recover from your jetlag so... 

I think that the watch nuts do not really realise yet the difference between 3712 and 5712. Taking into account the huge difference in the construction, I feel that 3712 is still in fact affordable. I'm sure that one day people will be crazily looking for...

like a lot of fun !! This one had some awful pieces. Which restaurant did you guys go to this time ? I look forward to my CNY trip to Singapore with food and watches !! Hopefully we could deeply discuss UN Horse and Goat and reach some sort of preliminary...

It was a fantastic evening and an absolute pleasure to get to know everyone present. There were indeed some beautiful examples of watchmaking in attendance - not only was it great fun to compare Kari's 3712 and Robin's 5712 (I loved them both equally), an...
