This evening, several PuristS friends in Singapore welcomed Dr Kol and his wife, as well as Esharp to singapore with our traditional PuristS gtg! It was amazing to meet these 3 superb watch collectors from overseas in person and we all enjoyed the good co...

Looks like a swell time

 By: rnaden : January 16th, 2015-08:59
With some really amazing watches to go with it. I especially like the Minerva and the Parmigiani...great pieces in all. Seems like every GTG is more fun than the last...

Hope you can join us next time Richard!

I am going to make every effort the next round...

The Minerva time only is a superb piece.

More Under the radar than the others, but not less appealing. Good to see that the Gang is alive and kicking. Best, Nicolas

It belongs to our dear Esharp!

Really a nice piece. I love it a lot too. The dial and movement are both very nice One day Nico... Hope we can host you in Singapore :) Cheers Robin

Nico, Robin, thank you!

 By: Esharp : January 24th, 2015-08:03
Those are very kind words, Nico, and thank you very much. This Minerva is a humble timepiece with great emotional value for me - a special gift when I was younger, and a representative of values I increasingly consider difficult to find in modern watchmak...

Your description of this watch is all the reasons why we love watches, my dear friend.

 By: amanico : January 24th, 2015-08:19
Eloquently put! This kind of watches starts to become my favourite. Best, Nicolas

Thanks for your kind words,...

Great pics, Robin! I had a fantastic time today and already can't wait for the next one. A large part of collecting is about the community, and today just goes to show how strong the community really is. Best, Shawn

I was very happy to meet you Shawn!

Singapore's GTG is always impressive, lots of heavy weights.

 By: Clueless_Collector : January 16th, 2015-09:32
That JLC Reverso Gyrotourbillon is out of this world, let me guess, must be Horo's. Hopefully I will be able to join these GTGs some day. Rgds Raymond

Yes it's Horo's!

 By: jrwong23 (aka watchthebin) : January 16th, 2015-20:45
It is a superb watch! Very hefty in platinum. I think it's the heaviest wrist watch I have handled in the metal! Raymond, PuristS gtgs are really fun! Hope you can join us someday too! Or some of the gtgs in your region Cheers Robin

Thank you guys for invitation and the good time!

We were pretty jet-lagged and Anne (10 months) was so tired that we left quite early. But more next time. The picture "spot the difference" I like a lot. The one that is "real stuff" is mine and the other one I'm calling a "fake" made by Patek Philippe Ge...

Kari, it was a great pleasure to meet you last night

 By: jrwong23 (aka watchthebin) : January 16th, 2015-20:48
I have always enjoyed your posts here and very happy we could finally meet! :) Your real stuff (for the nautilus) is my dream! :) For now I live with the "fake" lol. Enjoy the rest of your stay here and hope you and your family recover from your jetlag so...

Thanks Robin, it was my pleasure.

 By: dr.kol : January 16th, 2015-21:08
I think that the watch nuts do not really realise yet the difference between 3712 and 5712. Taking into account the huge difference in the construction, I feel that 3712 is still in fact affordable. I'm sure that one day people will be crazily looking for...

Looking forward Kari!

That's right Andrew!

My favorite posts are of these special and intimate get togethers among PuristS. I'm afraid I do not understand "2 unworn APs" which is blasphemy around my parts ;-) At least they are wound so they are receiving some attention. I hope to get your way one ...

I look forward to seeing you one day too my friend

 By: jrwong23 (aka watchthebin) : January 19th, 2015-18:50

That tan leather watch travel case looks great, can I ask who makes it? PMs are fine if it is against policy. Thanks

It belongs to Kari
