My name is Tim, I'm a rookie learning my way around may take a little time. I happen to notice that the fellow promoting this website has a watch I may be interested in, he was holding the watch with a white glove the watch is called "JALAN BUKIT BINTANO"...

Beware the strange damage

Please be careful. The photo shows damage to at least 4 heads of the bolts holding the watch case together. An authorised and competent Audemars Piguet watchmaker would never do that. So, that watch, if real, has been mistreated by someone. Regards, MTF

No Doubt

Malaysia (and many other countries) are a mix of ethnic origins and the ethnic Chinese is one of the three majority groups in the country - superstitions abound, and for many Chinese, numerology is part of life and business, so "bad numbers" would exclude...

Portuguese words in Malay

Nilo, To continue our discussion about Vasco da Gama and Afonso da Alberquerque, due to the Portuguese occupation of Malacca (1511 - 1641 AD), some Portuguese words and grammar has entered the Malay language. So, you can speak Malay but you didn't know it...

I'm amazed ...

Melvyn, Because we were a Portuguese colony, we have a strong trend to downplay Portugal accomplishments. I know that they didn't were, let's say, Purists but they travel this entire planet spreading their culture and influence. Thanks again for the class...

I've lived here and speak the language fluently but I never knew this:-)

The coconut tree is not Brazilian native!!! We even have a vainglorious, early 1940's, named "Watercolor of Brazil" that describes "our coconut tree". I bet that 99% of the Brazilians don't know that. Also add, the "ladies fingers" ("quiabo"), the mango e...
