Previously, Magnus (ornatus-mundi) reported about smart watches that scavenged Apple movements encased in ridiculously expensive cases.

Yesterday, Moser announced haute horlogerie smartwatch launching at baselworld 2015.

They've been pretty clever on the mechanical engineering, let's see what they unveil before passing too many judgments. I think we are in the midst of an evolutionary process. Some of the early attempts are going to flop, but some will succeed; innovation...

Been of prehistoric parentage, I have the greatest difficulty understanding: "...extremely long battery life..." and the words "Haute Horlogerie" when found in the same sentence. Certainly, I need to get out from underneath my rock and modernise myself;) ...

It will be anything impressive. Need companies like Apple that can design both SW and HW in order for smartwatches to work. With that said, smartwatches are still in their infancies, even Apple couldn't really do what they have originally planned for thei...

Some claim that connected watches will be an earthquake for the full industry, 10,000 times bigger than quartz. And some like me don't see the impact yet. Who is right, who is wrong? Only time will tell. At least, I find the Moser strategy daring. But at ...

Any higher end smart watch which is not iOS compatible will be difficult to sell...

i wonder what this move does in terms of H Moser's brand perception? It is kind of contradictory to say "very rare" and then offer easily mass produced products.
