You have actually highlighted my exact same thoughts. Well said! I just enjoy watches, of any type. The look, the mechanics, the history, and the art. To me a timepiece has to have a certain quality, irrespective of the complication, metal, or price tag. ... 

Those are the reasons why I visited this forum, participated and stayed on! Yes there are many nice social platforms out there where I can enjoy quick pics (Instagram), see some quick posts (Facebook), read some blogs, etc but here, I have all of that PLU...

There are not that many places when you can get refined food, deliciously educated guests with so much knoweldge, a nice environment, and so many friends. PPRO is all about that. Interesting watches, not necessarily only the most expensive, Passion, Educa...

Dear Pingstai I know of people you spend time and energy sharing that very same passion on less popular, non-commercial horological fora. They are not purists and they probably fall short of all those qualities and levels of virtue described in your post....

For me, the main reason is that I'm allowed to talk about what I love, watches, and ask questions regarding them, and not have someone tell me that I should go back to school to learn more before coming back, and folks listening to my banter, however sens... 

...it can be so personal and what each person gets out of it can be different. It's good that you want to say more than just "that's a nice watch". There's nothing wrong with that but why not dig deeper right? Thanks Richard!
