A gathering of PuristS in Singapore (again!) :)

Mar 31, 2015,08:04 AM

Our PuristS Singapore gang has not met up for some time as many of us have been busy the first few months of 2015. We finally got to meet up again tonight smile

Some watches here to share. The diversity from brands to complications to price ranges to modern vs vintage.

As always, we thoroughly enjoyed the watches but even more so, the friendship! This is our PuristS spirit! Enjoy the pics and hope you can join a PuristS GTG in various parts of the world someday if you haven't smile

Cheers
Robin

As usual, the moderator has to get there earlier to book the tables smile A shot while waiting for the gang at a Japanese restaurant in Singapore

Ah ha! Some company at last smile

A JLC from Stefan. Doesn't this look like a Nautilus? smile Ah the seventies....

A beautiful Tissot from our youngest Purist here. He is still a student in college smile our next Generation!

Stefan's GS. He shared this incoming recently on our Seiko forum. smile

A Cartier Tank from the 70s belonging to kpk smile

3 Nautilus. I meant two 5712 (one WG and one in steel) and the JLC LOL. The JLC really has the style of a Nautilus smile

The sky was getting darker and we quickly took a last shot when all the PuristS arrived. Our full Monty table shot smile

The lighting got worse and worse as the sun set as we were outdoors so apologies for the poor pics below.

What is the two tone watch with the steel bracelet?

 By: bmp101 : March 31st, 2015-20:52
Very handsome! It looks like maybe a Seiko? (All are gorgeous, just very curious about that one.)

I think you were referring

 By: jrwong23 (aka watchthebin) : April 1st, 2015-03:51
To the Cartier Tank? It\'s a vintage one from the 70s Belonged to kpk\'s dad. Cheers Robin

Robin-I meant the watch to the left of the tank

 By: bmp101 : April 1st, 2015-17:23
in the second pic from the top. I love the tank, I'd recognize it anywhere :) Guess I should have been more clear since there are two two-tone watches with SS bracelets. Best, Brad

Think it was the light's reflection

There was only 1 two tone watch that night and it was the cartier Still not very sure which is the 2nd watch from the left :p The bell and Ross? The rolex GMT master or the patek 5146 annual calendar? The bracelet must be the rolex gmt master which was al...

Ok let me try to do better!

 By: bmp101 : April 2nd, 2015-22:05
It's the one with the stainless bracelet, not the Patek, Rollie, or Tank. The bracelet is 7 links wide, dial has arabic numerals, date at 3, looks like power reserve indicator at 10:30, maybe central seconds?? Thanks for your help despite my terrible dire...

I finally got it Brad! :)

Sorry I was trying to take your directions but I was looking at the wrong pic (the one with more watches on the tray). The picture you referred to was when this watch was to the left of the Cartier Yes I indeed forgot there was another 2 tone watch that n...

Thank you! Do you happen to have a ref no.?

I tried a couple of searches but Seiko makes so much I don't know if I'd ever find it :) It looks even better up close! Thanks again Robin Best, Brad

Usually not too hot on Patek Philippe

 By: MTF : April 3rd, 2015-17:55
NT931 I have few Patek Philippe watches as most of their dials do not appeal to me. However, your 5296G does appeal and it's round.... One of the reasons that I have few PP is because the current Mrs MTF does not like cushion-shaped watches. Well, that ju...

It looks great Gordon!
