now we've owned our Puristspro badge of honours for about 18 months i thought i'd put this question to the forum.

when i first received mine it was fine, then a shortwhile after owning it, it started to run slow. i discussed the situation with Anthony and decided rather than send it all the way back to be looked at i'd send it to my repairer. it turned out that the 4 ended second hand was slightly out of true and was rubbing on the inner glass causing it to run slowly. he fixed it easily, but did say that there was very little gap between the minute hand and the second hand, likewise the second hand and the glass. when i got it back it ran fine, but after a few months it stopped and looked to me as thought the second hand and minute hand were touching. to cure the problem i reset the time. everytime i wear it now i make sure i rotate the minute hand a couple of times to ensure that the second hand has clearance. not ideal, but a solution that has avoided me having to send it away again.

yesterday after i'd written my post on the Azimuth BIT i decided to wear the PPro on the other wrist so i could compare 2 similarly priced watches. it stopped in the evening, was restarted and stopped again about an hour before i woke up. same problem everytime so i will have send it away again to have the second hand lined up again.

so the question i have is...'is the thing that is most special about this watch ie the second hand actually its achilles heal??'

the rest of the watch is great and can or could take a huge amount of bashing without a problem, but its no good if the hands are going to stop it everytime it has a jolt.

i'd be very interested to hear from anyone else who's had the same problem

best

Graham
