Macro Monday

 By: AndrewD : July 9th, 2012-05:32
Having limited macro capability with my P&S camera I love to see macro images on PuristS, particularly of movements. Monday seems like as good an excuse as any to share the 'details'. Please show us your favourite macro images. Thanks in advance! Andrew T...

You could make an interesting quiz series :-)

Mid range macro lens - about USD 500. Exploring the movement with a macro lens, and looking at the results in full size on the computer - priceless So much more fun than squinting through a loupe :) ...

Agreed!

It is very educational and reachable. Thus, learning and playing with it is much easier (and much more affordable if one's wish to go for applied mechanics ! as you can purchase one in any flea market)

I must admit a recent interest for these pocket watches and their movements.

 By: amanico : July 10th, 2012-13:23
I learnt some things and regretted some aspects of the modern production through them... But that is another story... Best, Nicolas
