Your pics are better! Yes, this BP is a nice monster, and as I saw it when you were in Paris, it fits very well on your wrist. This serie of Photo Essay is nice. What about a Platinum M.U.T Phot Essay? Best, my friend, keep on shooting! Nicolas

Amanico I am happy to be your photo student. The settings you gave me have made a big difference. No I just need to keill the camera reflection and I can "almost" be in your photo class. But after seeing just some of your collection I am still in the shad...

Sharp photos of an even sharper watch, Bill . . .

. . . now, the tough question: which flieger do you prefer - this IWC or your GO Navigator? I'm going to guess IWC, but you might surprise me . . . regards, Art

Beautiful photos and surely a must-have for military watch fans. Tried it on some time ago and find the lugs/strap width a bit too small for such a large watch. Do you find it alright? Enjoy!

Esthetically I would agreeā€¦ only at first. That was what I thought being a big Panerai fan. But the truth is that on the oem strap which is very thick it sits very nicely. I think in the case of the oem strap it makes up in thickness what it lacks in widt...

Thanks for the pointer!

alas far to large for my ectomorphic wrist (just a shade over 6 inches, despite my 6 feet of height). Question: for those of us in my position who would like to buy a superficially similar IWC someday, what -- other than size -- are the main distinctions ...

Other than the size? >>>

 By: amanico : January 18th, 2008-08:54
The Size! LOL No, seriously, the caliber is not the same.I think this is an ETA in the Mark XVI, while the BP has an inhouse movement with...cherry on the cake, 7 Days Power Reserve. Hope this will help you. Nicolas

thanks >> anyone have experience with the Mark XVI?

 By: Chromatic Fugue : January 18th, 2008-09:35
Sorry to clutter the HOME board with this model-specific question, but we don't have an IWC forum (though maybe we should!). I'm not put off by the ETA movement, but I'm interested to hear if anyone has experience w/ the Mark XVI's accuracy, its level of ...

IWC Mark XVI vs. BP

 By: boulderben : May 14th, 2008-00:03
If you are not put off by the ETA movement, the Mark XVI is an excellent choice. The movement used by IWC is derived from an ETA movement but modified into a new caliber. The Mark XVI, like other IWC watches, is also tested in-house to meet specifications...
