By: cisco : September 22nd, 2014-07:43
Maybe my favourite part, (though the heaviest load is certainly the chronographs) 4 Vacheron COnstantin Chronomètre Royal, yes 4.... Two with the typical Chronomètre Royal dial with the first case style (cylindrical) and second type ("Maltese Cross lugs" ...

Yes, the overall quality of the piecs shown and their diversity made this event special, but it reflects the collectors who were there, great guys, I'm blessed to have been part of it. Servus :) François
Many of these watches are even nicer in the reality.
By: amanico : September 22nd, 2014-08:03
Especially these big Longines, 11 and " Onion. As for the Chronometers you mentionned in your Part II, you touched the dreams of many of us, here, too. Wow! I also have a soft spot for this Lip Blancpain FF 3 6 9 12 you showed. A Watch I know quite well, ...
Thanks Nicolas for your kind comments

I am sure you recognize everyone just on the watch ;) , lots of people from a french forum and from all around the world, great collectors, the best part of that GTG. The 807 is for me with the "skipperera" along the elusive Blancpain Air Command one of t...
Yes, I recognized at least 3 or 4 guys through their watches. :)
By: amanico : September 22nd, 2014-08:55
The 807 is an old dream of mine, and, of course, I recognized its owner... I am very happy to se that you made it! I was thinking of you, guys, when I was, at the same moment, at 13 000 Kilometers from where you all were. Best, Nicolas

but how to decide between some 33.3, Minerva, Movado, Ulysse Nardin , Breitling, Eberhard, Universal Genve, Cartier and some others .... You know that feeling in a grand restaurant with the "Chariot des desserts", you can take as much as you want and ever...
I would make an exception with the PP / VC Sector dial.
By: amanico : September 22nd, 2014-10:34
But for the rest, I would favour the in house movement like Longines, the 33.3 ( in a Lemania case, then ), or Minerva, or UG! The rest comes after, and believe me, there are still some strong contenders, but just a step below: JLC, Ulysse Nardin ( these ...
Out of PP/VC
By: cisco : September 22nd, 2014-12:29
It is complicated, in that logic with Longines, UG and Minerva, a Movado would be to favour over an Omega or the Eberhard who were the only one afaik to use the large caliber with that special lock system. But then come cases, dials and the heart factor a...

By: DivingT : September 24th, 2014-22:34
why didn't the Omega SM 300 line up with the other military? With the T above the centre of the dial, shouldn't this make it a W10 / UK army issue? thanks alot for sharing, looks like a fab time had by all!! Cheers Tony
