And hello from Hilton Head!

Just in, a watch I was after for quite a long time, but never pulled the trigger for… well no logical reason Now I’m very pleased I did… except the need for a TA is more vivid than ever !

..and then today at the Musee International d’horologie ( highly recommended), I saw the original inspiration and I’m now close to decided:

Silly me, I had failed to notice that Omega has a tourbillon And until I looked at it under a loupe in person I had no idea of its absolutely unique secret Focus if you will on the tourbillon and you will see their version of the George Daniels co-axial escapement with its truly unique escape wheel

I’d be interested to hear your thoughts on this polarizing new release. It’s the only steel watch we got from the five pointed crown and it seems to be loved or hated. I personally believe this was an easy one to predict, as many did. They already had the hands and dials laying around from the all b
