As Crocodile Dundee famously said, "Now THAT'S a display back!"...

its the opposite of simplicity at its best

Hmmm, the bezel...

 By: DRMW : January 17th, 2010-23:40
The way they did the bezel is interesting, I'm surprised they can do that design and not worry about stress cracks. Also the fusion of the two materials must be a technical challenge for waterproofing. Not only is this a cool design but a engineering wond...

lovely pushers...

a

Reminds me of a Lamborghini Automobile...

 By: patrick_y : January 19th, 2010-17:01
The sharp angles of the crown and chrono pusher buttons remind me of a particular kind of Lamborghini Reventon Sports Car. A very cool watch indeed that looks awesome on the wrist. I even like the strap! Thanks for the photos! This message has been edited...

Stupendous!

 By: BABKA : January 19th, 2010-22:45
The design is absolutely flawless. Puts the previous LE models to shame.

Even if the titanium version is more interesting....

 By: kkhazen : January 18th, 2010-03:43
... my heart goes for the RG. The titanium has that gold ring around the dial, reminds me of the BB, but in a sweeter way. The strap looks amazing and comfy. I wonder how it will resist water and sweat. But it looks very very nice, especially with the red...

This beast will never get glory of the RBII(ti)

 By: chronos-lorien : January 18th, 2010-04:32
IMO, the watch is merely a mix of design elements ruining the entire piece perception. 1. Sorry guys, but subdials are just auwfull, no comments... 2. What's the reason to make upper level of bazel in SOFT forged carbon and low level in HARD ceramics??? M...

WELL there is very much resembleness from the RBII

By: Mohannad (aka Riddler) : January 18th, 2010-05:20
the DNA of the RBII is very strong in that piece VERY strong but non the less this is as beautiful and more of a modernized version of the RBII This message has been edited by mabanomy1 on 2010-01-18 05:22:59

As expected over the top design and great use of materials

Hi Thomas, thanks for the plaudit. Anyhow, here to you my view: for point 3 my answer was the correct one (the first is always valid): see the hour of my posts... being an F1 fan...it will be a Grand Prix L.E. Date: Jan 03, 2010,13:12 PM well, let's try t...

...BUT this is how i see it

nice watch, but its a gigantic one , not that elegant gigantic feeling of MB&F for example, i know both are way different things to compare but god, this one is massively chunky, IF im to own one it would be a watch to put on my wrist once in a while not ...

funny thing about personal taste...

 By: ThomasM : January 19th, 2010-05:55
it's personal! Hi, I'm sure many people agree with you about the Offshore line in general; I can tell you many many more (relatively speaking, vis a vis to the number of people who actually have even heard of it) feel even more strongly about the MB&F - t...

Dear Thomas

 By: aldossari_faisal : January 19th, 2010-07:46
i truly support your opinion , and i would never claim that the designers nor the people who craft these artistic time pieces are doing so to fool in marketing games. by the way im a royal oak OFFSHORE lover never thought the basic watch is a chunk in it ...

Thank you, Faisal.

Thank you for your comments! TM

Nice..but a little too colorful??

 By: gasterus : January 19th, 2010-07:55
Personally, I found the ROO Grandprix to be a little too colorful for my taste. Maybe time will tells and it might probably grows on me Anyway, this model gives another chance to AP fans who does not get a chance to get hold of RB2.

Colorful? I agree. Too colorful? That depends...
