Hi....All,and thanks to all those that replied to my original post, concerning my Wenger GST,7750,and it running very fast....I have posted a link to the original, thread if anyone wants a look. I have good new to report....After calling around, and finding there were no longer any "Watchmakers" in the neighborhood. I had relented to the idea that I was going to have to,send my watch off,to even have a simple look see,at what could be the problem...Doing some exploring on my own,I came up with a jewelery store, about 35 miles away, that indeed did, have it's own in house version of a watchmaker.. Two of them as a matter of fact... Under the same roof.Come to find out,the store is owned by a watchmaker, and his dad,had taught classes, for over 40 years,at the local college. The short of it all is..... For the store charge of $10.00.... I had found out and had corrected a over oiled, stuck together Hairspring....The demagnetizing was also done just to say I did while there....... Yes sir..... $10.00..... I gladly gave the man a Twenty.... and said Thank you..... Please keep the change......... This bumps my total cost up,for this watch to a tiny, $294.00 ........ So my GST 7750,is ticking away. It seems happy, and I seems Happy.... Again thanks to all for your help, and advice... I don't think I ever did post as to just what what model I was having this running fast problem with,so here's the particulars.. "Wenger GST Sea Series Aqua Master Automatic" ( 78189 ) Discontinued. All Screwdown .. Crown,Pushers,Case Back... 300M... 1000FT ........ 12hr Valjoux 7750,Day/Date. This is a P.S. I do not have a camera per se. So two photos are from stock, the not so good one,was taken with my internet cam. Have any of you, that may own a Wenger product, noticed how the Wenger Swiss logo, lumes in just the right low subdued light... I had never noticed this, till I saw it in the photo I took. Low light like maybe a street light across the street. Hardly enough direct light to read the dial by,but it will light up that Logo...... Like a stop sign. neat huh...
