I don't enjoy it but...

I had very poor luck with my IWC Pilots watch.  The watch had a JLC movement that did not work out well for many owners, and I was one of the unfortunate ones. My JLC Master Ultra Thin is a great watch, so my  IWC problem may not have been solely with the JLC movement.  I would be circumspect of anything IWC does because of this unfortunate incident.

My Patek Philippe Golden Ellipse was also not up to my expectations.  Repeated trips to the repair shop have made me hesitant to own another.

Breitling, Tudor, Sinn, G-P, Ball, Glycine, JLC, Rolex, Omega and Eberhard have all been good watches.

Merry Christmas!

Is there any company you would not buy from?

I can't answer this question only because my buying is really really limited. But that does'nt mean I would'nt buy one brand over the other. Where I live there's no high end watch stores so i don't have the privilege of seeing high end watches. If you do ...

Over the years of buying watches, there is a tendency to gravitate to those that you have been familiar and also to where there is a good selection available. Due to a growing collection, watches that interest me would have to be unique from my perspectiv...

I don't think I'm in a position to discount any brand as a whole, because marques are always evolving. However, we all have preferences and parameters (financial or otherwise) that we adhere to. For example, I tend to like watches of 40mm-42mm in size, so...

Dun think its the brand but the retailers or sole agent

 By: patrickmaniac : December 22nd, 2009-05:02
that gives the brand bad customer experience. Had one such encounter with Porsche Design in SG where the sole agent was just horrible. No other issues with JLC, Rolex and Omega for me. cheers Pat
