Press release: Longines is re-issuing a chronograph designed for Charles Lindbergh

This watch is already in shops, and like the previous remakes (Idrografico, Legend diver, though not the WWW) it looks faithfully vintage. Unfortunately it is a very large watch, no doubt so was the original, but this is a tad difficult to wear. Nonethele...

thanks

thanks for the informative post, nice looking watch, with intersting features. Faisal

That's a very nice looking watch but...........

47,5 mm is way too much, at least to me. Love the dial. Let's wait to see how it looks for real. Thanks for sharing. Vte

Thanks, SJX!

I love seeing these vintage reissues, but I do wish the watch was a manual-wind. Longines have some nice offerings based on old designs from their catalog. While the Legend Diver is my favorite, I also like the Heritage Conquest models. Cheers, Daos

Agreed, Daos.

Much better as a hand-wound. Imagine if they started up 13ZN production instead of And without any reference to C Lindbergh....winning the Orteig prize is admirable, but he was a creep.

A new 13ZN would be hot!

I know a lot of folks around here would be jonesing for a well-done reissue of that piece (including me)! Great minds think alike! Any more dives scheduled? I'm awaiting my next underwater photo fix! Cheers, Daos

Was supposed to...

...do a double on the J4 (WW1 submarine) last weekend. (Google "J4 26m submarine") But the dive charter cancelled all dives outside the heads due to weather. Annoying, as the day turned out to be perfect. Am booked in for a couple on the 28th. J4 and Kelp...

wonderfull watch !

a bit big ( 42 or 44 would have been better) but I would wear it ;-) But they should introduce a nice movement again (something like the 13ZN). I don't like automatich ETA's in that kind of watches This message has been edited by Bruno.M1 on 2010-02-17 09...

Love it!

I looked at this watch last weekend and it is lovely, but very, very large. It also has a three part strap that has two buckles that is a bit funky, but vintage I was told by the salesman.

Interesting design.....

but a bit too large.... great history though... Cheers

The RG version for me.

Both very attractive looking watches.
