Interested in a poll of wearing left or right

 By: amerix : January 18th, 2010-11:16
I can't do this on my own, certainly not technically. But I am curious about in what regions of the world, watches are worn more on the right than on the left hand - no matter what the reasons. Geographically!. This would have nothing to do about our habi...

Seems like most right-handed people wear their watches on their left hands in the US

 By: AnthonyTsai : January 18th, 2010-19:05
And vice versa for the left-handed. Is there really any difference region-wise or professional-wise? Cheers, Anthony

 By: mikethw : January 19th, 2010-05:08
I'm right handed and wears my watch on the right. My wife is a left hander, wears her watch on the left.......Have been that ways since the day we receive our watches. Mike

Too sly for my own good, I'm afraid

 By: amerix : January 19th, 2010-05:28
I was thinking of a watch-savvy place like Singapore and a profession where the wearer might want to show (off) the watch while shaking hands or raising that espresso to his or her lips. Being right-handed myself, of course (!?) I wear the watch left. How...

 By: cfdfire : January 19th, 2010-16:25
either left or right .I have since i started wearing watches. My father was right handed and watch on right strictly. The position of the crown tends to hit my wrist when I wore this one on the left.I think that is why they changed the layout of the newer ...

My wife and I (both right-handers) wear on the left. Our son (age 6, right hander) wears his indestructible Timex digital on his right. My father, left-handed, wears on his right. My father-in-law, right-handed, wears on the left, but on the inside of his...

Right handed, watch on left above the 'bone'...

 By: Andy : January 19th, 2010-10:00
I say that because I have seen people wear the watch where the wrist bends below the bone that is raised, but i find that restricts my wrist movement. I hope that is clear as I don't know what that bit of bone is called..!! Andy.

Right-handed, watch on the left, always. [nt]

Left handed, left wrist

 By: G99 : January 19th, 2010-12:53
but i often wear 2 watches at home so left and right, but only when i have 2 on. Graham

How about some variety?

 By: AndrewD : January 19th, 2010-13:26
I am right-handed, but wear watches on both the left and right wrist. I like the variety, and it does 'feel' different wearing it on the dominant versus non-dominant wrist. Andrew

Interesting

 By: dxboon : January 19th, 2010-21:01
I am so dominantly right-handed, I would have a very difficult time putting on a watch with a tang buckle on my right wrist. I always find it amusing when people wear watches on both wrists at the same time. That's a lot of timekeeping all at once! Cheers...

Really, you should try it ...

 By: AndrewD : January 20th, 2010-13:39
It is more 'fidly' to put on, although watches with bracelets are a little easier. But it is well worth the effort. You tend to notice the watch more as it is on your dominant arm (and you also need to be careful not to bump it more often). Mostly it is j...

right-handed, left wrist, BUT

 By: Chromatic Fugue : January 19th, 2010-16:55
as watches get bigger and bigger, I've begun experimenting with wearing them on my right wrist, which -- precisely because I'm right-handed -- is larger than my left wrist. (You bulk up the wrist attached to the hand you use most often.) Large watches alw...

Right Hand Right Wrist

 By: PeeCeeBee : January 19th, 2010-17:11
I am right handed and generally wears my watches on the right hand as well. Reason being my left wrist is smaller and watches tends to look too big on my left wrist. Lame? I don't care. haha
