Meeting Linde Werdelin's SpidoLite & The 3-Timer
By: Kong : July 13th, 2009-13:03
Last week, MTF and I met up with Sky Sit, Marketing Manager of Linde Werdelin for lunch. The meal got to be one of the signature Singapore dishes - you guessed it...chicken rice! Two types of cooking style for Sky since she's here on vacation. In return s...
I like SpidoLite very much
By: ling5hk : July 13th, 2009-15:42
But I hope this is only a prototype that can still be improved on casing. I see a little bit of shodow of De Bethune and ROO Survivor in SpidoLite. Thanks Kong for sharing it with us. Regards Ling
Mules and Dummies.......
By: MTF : July 13th, 2009-18:50
Ling, These were prototypes, test mules and demonstrator pieces that have been hauled around the world. I hope (and expect) that the production models will have better finishing and tolerances. If you look up the history of Morten Linde, you find a design...

By: MTF : July 13th, 2009-18:38
The first thing one learns is how to pronounce 'Linde Werdelin' As there are Danish roots, the first name is pronounced Lin-da with a Scandinavian accent. Go on -- try it; it's fun to say! The second word is pronounced almost as it is spelt in English, bu...
Cool pix! Too bad LW's rep didn't bring The One also!
By: dxboon : July 13th, 2009-21:07
So far, The One is my favorite LW model (based on the pictures, at least). I like the stainless steel with black dial best. I particularly appreciate your wrist shots, as the case specs seemed a bit beastly for my taste at 46mm, but the watch is very attr...
People need vacation time too......
By: MTF : July 14th, 2009-01:10
Our friend from Linde Werdelin was on personal vacation in S.E. Asia and could not really be expected to cart the whole portfolio with her It was very kind of her to be wearing one and carrying the Spidolite in her bag. As she was off to another tropical ...

convex caseback, the LW could be surprisingly 'just right' on the wrist...even my small wrist too. Ha... that boy's wrist is MTF's Kong
I think the shaped case back...

...would be comfortable, but the overall design and spirit of the watch is a bit more aggressive than I might enjoy. I do like The One though. It's got a nice, legible dial. Too many nice watches, too few funds. Daos
The 3-timer is quite nice
By: LCDW : July 13th, 2009-21:54
Thanks for such insightful post Kong! I find the 3-timer is pleasing to the eyes and I quite like the look of the dial and the hands, too. The way I see it, if I wear the Spidolite, I shall in no time collect dirts and dust inside every nook and corner of...
SpidoLite ...

Any dirt/dust in the 300m water-resistant monster should not be an issue. Run under a tap or place into a home-ultrasonic bath ...it should be clean as new The SpidoLite with Skeleton dial will be an interesting piece, combining work of Svend Andersen. Ko...
Thanks for the report and great pics Kong
By: AnthonyTsai : July 14th, 2009-13:59
I saw the SpidoLite in person a month ago and was amazed that the watch looked like a lot smaller than advertised specs. On the wrist, it looks like it wears like a 43mm IMO. Watch is very light, so those who need heft in their watches will probably find ...
The Watch is Deceptive!!!
By: big daddy : July 15th, 2009-21:22
Just 3 weeks ago I was on vacation and purposely stopped at a retailer in Northern Europe to see and inspect these watches as they intrigued me.....especially the Spidolite. The Spidolite had not arrived yet but I did see, inspect, and wore a 3-Timer in r...
Great post guys... as Product Manager of LW
By: Issing San : July 17th, 2009-00:48
... and an avid Purist and Paneristi poster, it's great to read your feedback on our watches. For those in doubt, these watches are indeed first samples, and are not finished 100% correctly, as the production pieces will be... especially on the comments w...
Thanks Martin...

for your reply. Could you share with us some pictures of how the straps interface with the casing? Look forward seeing the production models soon especially the joint-work with Sven Anderson. Kong

Don't worry mate... still a Panerai fan (and other watches as well, but a Paneristi at heart ;-)) Yup... started with LW in Jan, 2008, so it's just over 1,5 years now ;-) The watch industry is great, and it fun to be working with your "hobby"... especiall...
