That's the P1 with the steel ring

Nov 09, 2013,01:14 AM

The wooden ring model ins the P3/2 Riviera.but it's fairly hard to source.

I have one I'm thinking of parting with alternatively I can put you in touch with a dealer who may still have one in stock if you're interested.

I'm not soliciting for sales as I love it and am in no rush to sell but happy to put others in touch with a dealer who may have one.

As to the "x" factor the watch has - well it's a unique design which has to be fairly rare especially at this price point. It looks more complicated than it is and it has quite simply amazing build quality on the case and dial.

They certainly look much more expensive than they are and for those of us interested in the MB&F and Urwerk watches they make an affordable alternative in terms of styling if not horlogical content.

i'm finding it a lot harder to source 1964 vintage pieces that i can afford and havent already got. i managed to find a very nice Longines Grand Prize Automatic last month, but there have been slim pickings over the summer. ( i have of course been spendin...

I also agree that is a very interesting watch but the size (47mm square) makes it way too big for my wrist. As soon you get it, please do a deep review. I'm interesting to learn about how the Myiota movement performs. Congratulations, Sir Graham. Cheers, ...

thanks Nilo, i've only heard positive things about this watch and miyota movements. Citizen/Miyota are the biggest producer of auto movements in the world and know a thing or two about making them. it will be fun to own, especially as the much cheaper Sis...

So special? I know the design is cool and it is great value for money, but what is its 'x' factor that has made it so collectible? Serious watch collectors are obtaining one or more so there must be something.

Then it's good enough for me! Proud owner of a P2 and a P3/2 Riviera. The SevenFriday is easily one of my favourite watches in either incarnation however the P2 such as yours does wear slightly smaller due to the slimming effect of the PVD case. This part...
