No chrono...
Feb 26, 2011,19:38 PM
Hello,
I too went through the puzzlement of what is in this watch...
The subseconds display is not chronographic - I believe it always spins, showing time zip along. And it can do this I guess because there is a barrel to power the indicators, which is separate to the barrel powering the escapement. It is showing off the splendour of the Duometre design !
I got over the puzzlement and realised how much I love that watch!

Is there a totalizer on this Duometre Lunaire?
By: Mostel : February 26th, 2011-17:48
Hi guys, So I'm in love with this watch... then I start wondering... is there a totalizer for the chrono? It seems that there is not. So does the chrono hand just fly around and add up to nothing except beautiful?
No chrono...

They are hacking, and slightly more
By: Dje : February 27th, 2011-01:51
Hi Mostel, Both seconds hands are hacking, and bring a little more. Here is what I wrote last year: "As I wrote about hacking the watch, in fact I must explain. If you pull the crown it stops the seconds hand immediately and the lighting seconds hand keep...
Obviously I've not seen one running....
By: Andy : February 27th, 2011-03:20
but isn't the 'lightning' seconds hand a little distracting running so fast on the dial..? Rotating once a second when there is another second hand seems a little odd, I don't get it. Sorry as it looks great with the black face, Andy. PS - Nico is there a...
As for the Duometre à Q.L, be patient, I will post something very soon.
By: amanico : February 27th, 2011-03:25
But to make it short, the purpose of the Duometre à Q.L is the precision. The second hands hack and both reset to zero. A precision at a 1/6 th of second. As for the Master 8 Days Perpetual, I have several issues: First I " lost " my brand new computer an...
That makes more sense...

I did wonder what the beauty of the Duometre QL was, but as you explain it's about precision then I understand more No worries about the Perpetual and no rush, I was just curious as there isn't a mention of it anywhere...one site which did have some pics ...
I guess they are all waiting for the master...
By: Andy : February 27th, 2011-03:46
it's not this site...it's every site that has nothing on it yet so I guess they all wait for you then copy it..!! You are the man Nico I look forward to your reports on both the Duometre QL and the Perpetual. Cheers, Andy.
Really! Wow.

That's pretty darn unique. Thank you all for replies!!! I think this officially makes this a 'crazy' watch... which I may actually like MORE now... how fascinating and highly eccentric. Poetically, you have the absolute micro-expression of lightning fast ...
