prefer the 42mm

I just don't like the smaller size on a Duometre.  I think it takes something away from the presence of the watch.  The only positive I see with the smaller size is that it makes it less conspicuous and thus easier to wear everyday.  Thanks for the beautiful pictures, in any case!

A few weeks ago, I posted two topics about the Duometre à Quantieme Lunaire 40, 5 mm, which is part of the 2012 Collection. The Press Release: jlc.watchprosite.com : The first real pictures of the case, and the comparison with the 42 mm case: jlc.watchpro...

This is a great statement, on which I totally agree. It feeds curiosity, then knowledge. The decoration is great, on any Duometre, captivating, even. As for the moonphase, it was always deep blue. What I regret, and this is a small reserve but Devil is in...

Now if they introduce a Black dial with either WG or PT ...

things will get really interesting Or Maybe a WG slate dial and PT black dial. What do you think? When will we be seeing this new Duometre QL coming to market anyway, I heard the Sphero is going to be really fast. Regards Tyler

I was thinking about this new 40.5 mm size.

 By: TdotBean : January 27th, 2012-01:43
You think it will work?

No, I don't think they will...

I do hope that is a ( nice ) exception... It would be a bit too messy to have two size cases for the same watch. If it is a real exception, why not, but a 2d one would not be a good idea, IMO. Best, Nicolas

+1 [nt]

After trying on the 40.5mm and the 42mm at SIHH I preferred the 40.5mm size (and I do wear big watches - 44mm-46.5mm). The subtle redesigning of the case, especially the lugs, keep some balance to the watch and as a watch I would wear more as a business/d...

Agreed that they did an awesome job in keeping the harmony of the Duometre.

Now, I would have reserved the smaller case for another complication, to keep rhe coherence of the Q.L, which now comes with two ( !!! ) cases. Best, my friend. Nicolas

Have to see it in metal

...to make a statement. The 40.5 mm looks nice, however the the sundials cut into the minute track. Thanks for posting and the gorgeous pics Nicholas! Stefan

I don t dislike it but..

don t go mad either. 1)The bezel has been re worked,or it seems so,now its slightly rounder towards the outside compared to the orignal case. I am using the Chrono as an example to match the rose gold,as you can see the outer rim of the bezel is more angu...

I am happy with the 42 mm Duometre, too. So, not for me, but for smaller wrists...

I think 42, but the minor difference would not deter me.

 By: MichaelC : January 30th, 2012-08:07
It is the kind of watch if I tried on I would never consider that it should be slightly bigger. Great photos Nico!

To be tried, my friend. But be warned, the Duometre is a dangerous watch.
