but I suppose that's the point of the wide angle lens. Nice pictures, in any case. The light in Santa Monica has been very interesting the last couple of days.

Been to LA only twice and too short to do any sightseeing either time unfortunately. For me Santa Monica brings back memories of my time as a youngster in Track&Fields, Carl Lewis was my hero at that time!

Primarily the horizontal distortion/warping in some images due to the curvature of the lens itself....

It is bit pronounced in #7,8,9, actually common for phone cams when go really wide.

That's the specific reason why I felt of two minds with the results. Architecture and vehicles tend to get that horizontal distortion that's pretty easily noticeable, quite annoying if the goal is to capture clean, proportional pictures........

Unfortunately, elevation in Santa Monica is seldom found . There's a new Sigma 15mm f/1.4 ART lens which is a professional grade fish-eye lens that costs a pretty penny ....

The most recently released of the 'curved' lens category as I'd call it, it makes for a compelling astrophotography option, but then, astrophotography cameras are a whole other category of equipment to contend with........
