I just finished posting about the details on a watch I've been obsessing about for a few weeks now - the SARG007.
You gentlemen are discussing the finishing on the top of the line Seiko, and that is nice, but there are very many interesting models below those. Unfortunately, there the finishing is very uneven. For example, you can consider the SARG007. It has a black face, but a white date wheel. It has cream numbers, but white hands and white indices. It disturbs the harmony on an otherwise stunning watch. This watch is not so expensive, but it's pricey enough that they could have picked up a black date dial and painted the hands with the same paint they used for the numbers.
I was more disappointed by the Seiko Marine Master SBDX001. That retails for about six times what the SARG007 does. It has some of the most gorgeous minute and hour hands I've ever seen, but the seconds hand is rough and unfinished.

What is the baseline? in my humble opinion, there is NO comparison to Grand Seiko and Credor for excellence in consistency, precision, and reliability. None. So how can they turn respect into love? TM
