"Richard Müller began his career in clock and watchmaking in Germany upon graduation. Having been exposed
to the technical aspects of clock and watchmaking at a young age, he moved on to join Sattler clocks,
handling sales for the Sattler clocks in Germany and Austria from 1984 to 1992.

From 1992 till 2002, he was instrumental in introducing in-house design and movement production
and growing the company into a manufacturing company for the industry.
Müller became a partner in Erwin Sattler together with Stephanie Sattler Rick.

"Christian Zörweg had an early start in his career as a gemstone dealer during his university days. Captivated by watches and
how they represent mechanical measurements of the illusion of time, he decided to start his own business and
founded BUBEN&ZORWEG in 1995 shortly after graduation with childhood friend Harald Buben
who shared similar passion and focus.
"

At 7:25pm, the Guest of Honour arrived.

At about the 7:30pm, the emcee invited Mr Jimmie Tay, Managing Director of Timeless Gallery to deliver his speech.

“Timeless Gallery is designed as an ultimate luxury lifestyle boutique that caters to a discerning audience looking
for bespoke horological art investment pieces beyond watch collection.
The watch winder pieces we carry can be customized according to individual requirements with beautiful mechanical music
and precision regulators, while our mechanical clock pieces incorporate the finest tourbillon movements.
We are confident that this is something that a sophisticated watch collectors’ market like Singapore
will appreciate to complement their personal timepiece collections.”

The unveiling of the Three limited edition star pieces ...

Döttling’s “Brabant”

What's interesting, though the exterior looked like wood, the base material is steel!

Extracted from press release :

".... The first to be presented in Singapore is “Brabant,” a wonderful, handcrafted, exclusive safe with a design that borrows from the opulence of the royal courts of the late 19th century. The interior, lined with the finest Alcantara®, is equipped with eight watch winders and four jewelry compartments. In addition to the gold plated lion’s feet on the front, the safe also fascinates with its mirror finish wood appearance. Four months and many hundreds of hand-applied layers of faux bois glaze give the steel of the safe the depth effect of finest wood. Even experts have a hard time finding out that it is not genuine wood.
The almost-400-kilogram masterpiece is secured with a four-wheel combination lock; another homage to the artisanship of past times."

The adorned legs ... a dragon?

Buben&Zorweg’s X-007

Extracted from press release :

" The SAFE X-007 represents an innovative connection between a "high-security wing" for irreplaceable values and a refined masterpiece,
and is itself a solitary object of beauty defined by a clear, classic-elegant design, even in the most discerning ambience.

Its specially developed, one-of-a-kind opening system is ideal for presenting any unique collection.
Its inner values are above reproach – a high-security safe protects TIME MOVER® units for 25 watches
and offers room for jewellery and documents; a digital security lock affords maximum protection.

The integration of the safe in a masterpiece of craftsmanship, executed in exquisite leather and precious wood and
decorated with customised stainless steel applications, places the safe as a "purpose-built object" at the centre
of the environment inhabited by the owner of exquisite values, without doubt a beautiful object and always eye-catching.
"

After entering the correct code, with a touch of a button, the top extended out smoothly displaying the 25-winder section.

Both wings allowing 8 pieces of  storage per side.

Erwin Sattler’s Thesaurus

A stunning table-workplace made from long aged wood applied with 13 layer black varnish followed by high-polishing.
With a push of a button on a remote control, two columns with four winders each emerged .
All the eight motors could be individually programmed to various winding cycles (Turn per day -TPD).

However, the key-difference which is logical and not done by many is, all watches are positioned in the upright position
when the winders are static.

One more special piece to be mentioned, a preview of the prototype (which will be launched in Basel 2010),
the sleek  BUBEN&ZORWEG: PHANTOM 4

Extracted from press release :

" .... Make way for the next generation of the TIME MOVER® by BUBEN&ZORWEG: PHANTOM 4 and PHANTOM 8, depending on
whether equipped with four or eight TIME MOVER® units.

The mechanical “push and slide” opening system and reliable security lock safeguard access to the passionate watch collector's valuable pieces;
a design incorporating brushed aluminium partially with black metallic lacquer and side panels in exquisite carbon or
precious macassar-wood make the Phantom an eye-catching object that impresses
as much through functionality as it does through aesthetic appeal.
"

The lock-able button to activate the protective covers to slide open.

Congratulations to Timeless Gallery for the opening of two Boutiques this year,

A boutique that focuses on luxury watch winders, safes, and other storage equipment for watch connoisseurs? That's brilliant! Thank you for the photos Kong. All the action is happening in Singapore!
