I have two SINN watches, a 244 and UX. Both accurate, well built and in today's world a bargain. Good photos and article.

Bill...Another one for you, my friend! :)

I love it, as I love the former version. It is a simple, strong and without pretention watch. Nicely done! Best, Nicolas

A big U1...!!

 By: Andy : November 25th, 2009-08:20
are there any wrist shots or pics next to a U1 for comparison..?? Is Bill the Sinn ambassador...LOL...as I'm sure this will soon grace his wrist..!! Yours, Andy. PS - will that leather strap fit a U1..?? It looks like a beauty.. This message has been edit...

The final pic is a comparison

although the perspective doesn't show the difference very well, it is noticeably larger than the original, though not extremely large. The new crown is enormous so the watch still retains good proportions although the date is a bit small. - SJX

Missed that last pic...doh...

yes it does look nicely proportioned...and love the leather strap. Andy.

leather strap in pic above will fit.....it comes with the watch as a package.

 By: decksurgeon : November 25th, 2009-22:34
the U1 and the Ultimate U both fit. the strap is from another series of Sinn watches. interestingly I bought that exact strap about 2 years ago to fit on my original U1. Its also waterproof and can be dunked into water with ease (tho it does not dry out a...

I love a good diver but

it may just be my state of mind these days.... but it all seems so SILLY! I am more interested in watches that become collectors' items because of a 'cult' that forms around them over the years. These watches created 'to be' collectors items sort of revea...

I'm with you...

 By: BDLJ : November 25th, 2009-14:18
...but from a slightly different angle. I don't mind this U1 (if only their press agent was actually aware that the submarine profile on the dial is a 212, instead of just "a submarine"...but I digress). I agree on the LE and pushing of the 'collector' st...

Actually they do know it's the 212 class

 By: SJX : November 25th, 2009-23:38
The press release I posted reads: "Exclusively for Sinn, the steel supplier of Howaldtswerke-Deutsche Werft and Nordseewerke Emden GmbH shipyards are supplying the watchmaker with smaller amounts of exactly the same steel of which the world’s most modern ...

Don't get me wrong.

 By: BDLJ : November 26th, 2009-14:14
I really like Sinn products. I have a thing for the U2 in particular. I did see that they mentioned the 212 (not sure what's scarier being in a fuel cell sub or a nuclear powered sub!) in relation to the case material, but the rest of the press release ju...

Great info! Thks for sharing

It's just too bad that at 47mm, the watch is just too big for my relatively slim wrists though

Big beauty! [nt]
