Making a case for the Monaco

thanks to my friend Noodia, I have just found a vintage Monaco.


I realize how much the case of this watch is a great piece of engineering and design ! 

Pretty far from the plain square it seems to be on first sight...

When I see one on picture, I want one. When I have it on my wrist, I don't want it anymore. Strange, unless my wrist is not made for a Monaco... Best and congrats on a superb specimen. Nicolas.

I was always afraid of exactly the same thing, and all the more since the modern TAGHeuer Monaco wears like a manacle from a medieval dungeon on my wrist. I was surprised to discover that the original is a different animal, and nestles in place quite comf...

to find an iconic blue dial for the price. but whenever i strap it on, it doesn't seem to wear well on my puny asian wrist. a pity because i really like the design. but i don't want to force it.

i've been lucky enough to see a selection of Noodia's vintage Heuers, but to me the Monaco is totally iconic, recognised by everyone. the McQueen auto model is my preferred model, but they all look great. and yes, Nicolas, you have a strange wrist best G
