Salon QP: pictures of the opening cocktail

Nov 08, 2013,01:56 AM

The 2013 edition of the Salon QP has started yesterday with the opening cocktail which took place at the Saatchi Gallery. The Salon QP is becoming a key event for watches lovers in Europe and I could have this feeling thanks to the successful event organized yesterday, the raising number of exhibiting brands and the crowd who attended the cocktail. I propose you to browse the pictures I took during the event in order to depict you its atmosphere.

Let's start the show!

With Katidja Valy (De Bethune) and Alex Ghotbi (Vacheron Constantin):

At the Hermes booth:

The Jaquet-Droz engraver:

The watchmaker from Piaget. I think he will show me a lot of interesting things today!

The young enamel lady from Julien Coudray:

The HYT team with Vincent Perriard on the left:

David Gouten in his new position of CEO of Manufacture Royale:

Côme de Valbray:

Rexhep Rexhepi, the young watchmaker of Akrivia:

The Hautlence team, Caroline Buechler and Guillaume Tetu:

Benoît Mintiens (Ressence) and Emmanuel Bouchet (Centagora), the father of Opus 12:

Emmanuel Bouchet and Ludovic Balllouard, two Opus watchmakers together:

Konstantin Chaykin:

Romain Gauthier:

With Lucia Toro (Lange & Söhne Western Europe):

With Lucia Toro and Jacques Thomas:

Eleonor Picciotto and Virginie Meylan (MB&F):

Philippe Dubois (Badollet):

Stepan Sarpaneva:

Peter Speake-Marin and Felix Baumgartner (Urwerk):

Kari Voutilainen:

Andreas Strehler who has been awarded very recently with the Gaïa prize:

Max Büsser:

The Scofield team (Giles Ellis and M.N. Hopwood):

Manuel Emch (RJ - Romain Jerome):

The former hurdler Colin Jackson is involved in a project with Maurice Lacroix:

Bruno Belamich and Carlos Rosillo (Bell & Ross):

The Breva team with Vincent Dupontreué:

Some pictures of the context of the cocktail. I love the Saatchi Gallery, I do believe it is a perfect venue for this kind of event:

Once again, James Gurney and his team organized perfectly the event and it was for me a true pleasure to attend it because it gave me the opportunity to meet a lot of watchmakers and friends. And as we know, watchmaking is firstly a question of people who work together around a project.

Fr.Xavier
