It was the old model; the new one is too big for me. If it had done what it was supposed to do, I might never have become a watch collector. Unfortunately, I had comfort issues with the bracelet and found the watch susceptible to magnetization. I eventual...

For me the Jumbo is too precious and with 50m of WR too fragile for my life. The Sub is too ubiquitous and divey. But there are many others that work very well across the spectrum--Rolex Explorer 1, Blancpain Aqualung, VC Overseas, IWC Ingenieur, Omega Aq...  

This one also does it all for me.

but I love this watch. I love the dial. My initial answer to the question posed is there is no one watch for every situation but the platinum Daytona may be as close as it gets. Great looking watch. Stewart
