If it's a new watch: Scratches = Pain else: Scratches = Character endif Now serious. I tried and succeed to educate myself that scratches are a fact of life, like scratches on a new car, and I just live with those. What I cannot deal is an over polished c...

I'm totally careful with my daily (hate calling it a beater) watch the Nautilus. But it remains a scratch magnet (at least the bezel is) so scratches are unavoidable. Safe-queen it? That would be a shame... I do agree with you on being careful. But again,...

Flat bezel watches are a special challenge

Unless they are worn mindfully... Well, what can you do? You got a dream watch and so enjoy every last scratch. After a couple years or so, send it to Patek to clean it up, and start over again. What else can you do? Sometimes life has funny little ironic...

Character for sure

It is close to impossible to avoid scratches on any watch that we wear, and anything that stays in the safe more than on the wrist would have no part in my collection. The scratches add character to my watches, and more than that, many of them remind me o...

I can relate to this

a scratch can indeed be a very nice reminder of a fond moment/memory
