I am the master of my collection!

The journey continues. Tastes morph, meander, evolve...

Half a year ago I was so fond of Rolex. The human stories involved, the prestige, the myth….all these wonderful things come to mind....yet, over the last couple of months, there has been change, commotion, upheave, turbulence, emotion, stress, passion, torment...

One by one, the pieces were disseminated. I've now completely reshaped the collection and fashioned something entirely new.

SO WHAT?

Well, I’ll tell you what.

Another reason why collecting watches is so AMAZING.

à I am in complete control of my collection. I am the creator and the master of my watch universe. That’s a great feeling…funny it took me so long to see it like that.

Anyway…the result looks like this. Enjoy.

Thanks for sharing some of your nice pieces. I particularly like your Lemanias. I love Rolex, but yes there is a life beside and beyond Rolex. Interesting you've using the word 'master' ... No JLC nor Omega? Personally, I might be the owner of my watches ...

Interesting statement, my friend. But believe me, you cannot master what you don't know.

Example: You thought you mastered your collection because you knew, at that moment, Rolex, and only Rolex. Now, you widened the scope, and you took a veeeery interesting way: Jardur and Lemania. Very interesting, because totally Under the radar, which is ...

What do you think about my latest addition, the TG195? Lovely chocolate dial, no? One of your phrases I remember from your comment, and that's a good basis for developing my train of thought: "You are the master of your collection until your next discover...

This TG 195 is to die for. And with a superb brown dial that is a great catch!

Yes, my friend, tastes evolve with discoveries... I am deeply convinced by that. Yes, I have one or two small ideas... But enjoy the moment, first. :) :) :) Nico

. . . this equally fascinating muse regarding the dynamics of collecting. The level of conversation is most interesting these days. Yes, there is an aspect of watch collecting that takes on the characteristics of creation. I tend to be as curious about th...

An awesome watch! :) So, will you go deeper and add small crowns and M-series as well...? Best Blomman

Small crown? M series?

Not quite sure what this refers to? The plan is to expand horizontally into vintage chronos. I want to sample as much as possible before going down a vertical. Next up is the Jaeger 4ATM Hope Junior is well!

I was referring to the different case back markings....

Of the Tg 195. Thank you, Junior is doing great! :) Best Blomman ...

Aaah, Blomman, that is an awesome trio. Will have to go deeper in this theme, I am sure!

But your Brown dialed one gives me some delicious nightmares... ;) Best, Nicolas

Yes, a theme to explore for sure! :)
