The beauty of our community

Oct 16, 2014,17:00 PM

One of the greatest things about this community of Purists, is that even when we travel to places far and near, we will always have real friends who share common love for our mechanical marvels.

A quick business trip, and a good catch up with our moderator Robin - the tiredness of the business trip and work wasn't so bad after all and went away after a round of beers and watches! Robin shared some of his beautiful pieces from his collection....guess my favorite?....clue...it's clean and sober, yet warm... Work? What work?

Beware of the Vlad .... Lol Kidding! He's super fun to hang out with! I hope we can all meet together one day :) Cheers Robin

It could get worse and I'll also have a new watch on my wrist

.. it has been always greatto put a face to an avatar or cyber name !.. - our GTG's foster these bonds, and provide a great platform to find friends, and often almost each time and everywhere !.. Best, also for the approaching WE ! hs

It was great to meet you finally Richard!

Although for only a short time, I had a great time! Thanks for the beer! :) Always a pleasure to have a beer and share watches with a fellow Purist. I know which watch you like lol! Poison time! :p How was your visit to the boutiques! ;) Some more pics to...

The pleasure was mine

Too much poison and the boutiques did not help. A certain Patrimony and a simple Habring is stuck in my mind now... Need to stress out and work harder now to rebuild that watch fund!

There is little difference...

The world is so much smaller when our passion for watches here transcends boundaries of borders, cultures and geographies.

Just spent an afternoon . . .

. . . with fellow Purist Kevster earlier this week, Richard. A shared passion for Omega made him an acquaintance, and over the years, that common ground became the foundation for a life-long friendship. Glad you got to meet Robin; should you ever pass thr...

It's only a matter of time, Art.

Most of my business takes me to Texas and Arizona, but for sure, there will be a diversion soon.

Definitely come see us in California, Richard, though

I am envious you travel frequently to Texas, which I miss very much. Best, CaliforniaJed

So true

I have always been impressed with the tone and candor on this forum. Everyone I've had the chance to meet in the alphabet soup group in So. Cal is above board, and without prejudice regardless of which watch I was wearing. Thanks for the nice comment Art,...
