At 38mm, most Piaget watches sit in a neutral zone for both genders. This year, Piaget introduced some XL cases (40mm) in their more popular lines like Altiplano. Bigger but looks flatter - extra plat.

In fact, the demographic for Piaget is just slightly more than half women clients because of the jewelry range BUT last year, mechanical movements OVERTOOK quartz again.

Have a few questions :

1. Is the Re-edition Piaget Altiplano 1957 movement 9P or 9P2?

2. What is/are the difference/s between 9P and 9P2?

3. What is the dial material?  Any chance it is enamel?

4. Do you happen to have a side view picture (from the crown side)?

Piaget does not seem to distinguish between 9P and 9P2 in their information releases.

Although appearing in 1957 as caliber 9P, the earliest (so far) that I have seen the designation 9P2 is from the mid-1980s but I do not know what was "different" between the two calibres.

 

The movement thickness in various publications has been 1.35mm for a "Piaget movement" found in the original 10-dollar gold coin watches that subsequently, we assume twas introduced as the 9P. We find three different figures for the 9P2 (2mm, 2.1mm and 2.15mm)

 

Certainly, in 2007 when the Ref G0A32075 was released, the thickness was listed as 2mm (see above). The dial was listed as enamel.

components thickness which could add strength to the material and prolong the life of components too. My guess.

Interesting piece with enamel dial... very elegant.  Will check it out.
