Villemont and the launch of Les Heures du Monde in KL, Malaysia.....

By: Jacky (registered) Thursday, August 7th, 2008

Hi guys,

As usual, i'd like to share with all some photos i took during the cocktail session with Villemont last night. Impressive Worldtimer to say the least And i'll let the photos do the talking

It was a well done event and the team did a good job setting up the place. I was impressed

And the watches...

A watch that also works as a mechanical compass where u check directions with sunlight Reminds me of Offshore Polaris but this one the indicator is on the dial and not on bezel or inner dial ring. Pretty unique.

The most common complication Chronograph!

And the highlight

Les Heures du Monde from the collection of Esprit de Artisans, cool and classy name

The case structure is very unique. Some models can alter different combination of material as customer's wish, unique!

The in-house movement

And the very complicated but friendly watch

It has a day and night indicator on every city spots....cool aint it? With back and forth push buttons for the city disc, user friendly!

And a happy gentlemen is walking away with the No 1/88! First in the world who bought this watch
And Mr Muller adjusting the watch for our friend :P

R to L : Mr Olivier R. Muller (CEO and Founder of Villemont), Dato Simon Wong, Adeline Choo (Marketing Manager of Luxury Concepts) and Frank Low (CEO of Luxury Concepts)

Group shot...

Other collections..

Last but not least, thanks to May from Swiss Watch Gallery for the invitation. Cheers.

A few of the watches remind me of Vulcain for some reason.

Les Heures du Monde

hello Gaz,

Les heures du Monde is limited to 88 pces in red gold and 8 pces in red gold set with baguette diamonds. Any customer can choose to change the name of city with another one in the same time zone - e.g. KL instead of HK - or the name of a persone living in that time zone, and then it becomes a unique piece engraved on the back "Piece Unique".

And I take the opportunity to summarize the unique features of our worldtimer:

- time is shown on a 12 hours scale

- every city/timezone has a day/night indication (small discs next to each city turning to day or night at 6 am and 6 pm). The discs are turning with a system of 12 croix de Malte + 1 main day/night indication for the local on the V at 3 o´clock which indexes the date change

- a date shown by a hand on a 360 degrees scale, which moves back and forth accordingly in which direction you´re travelling to

- a setting of time with a UTC + (at 2 o´clock) and a UTC - (at 4 o´clock) to adapt your time quickly by moving backwards in the time zones, when moving eastwards and forward when moving westwards

- an adjustement to summer time (DST) for the cities which need it with the - s next to the cities´name with just a push on the UTC + push button. It is the first mechanical worldtimer which copes with summer time.

- and last but least it is our first in-house movement which is a mechanical selfwinding twin barrel movement with 110 hours of power reserve.

Best regards,

Olivier Muller

I consider the LHDM to be the perfect travel watch with all its unique features.

I look forward to seeing an example here in the United States.

Congratulations to Villemont and the research team for this innovative timepiece.  This is a worthy addition to the "L'Esprit Des Artisan" collection.

Best wishes,

Mike Ting
