Travelling?

Sep 25, 2015,17:35 PM

Been doing too much and have missed posting here.  I'm not sure why but when traveling my most frequent companion seems to my Harvest Moon.  Is it because Neil Young's version, unlike Stepan's, makes me think of my wife? Perhaps.  She -- the wife -- is a beauty.  But so is Stepan's version.  And since the wife won't want to be posted here, what you get tonight are these two shots.

On the road.
On the road.

Facing a sunset.
Facing a sunset.

A bit early, but the 9/26 WS starts now! - Travels and Watches

 By: KIH : September 24th, 2015-05:07
I am still in bad jet lag so I plan to go to bed early today... But WS must start and here are my a bit old travel scene with watch. A few months ago, mother, sister and I went to Kanazawa on the newest bullet train which does not shake left and right at ...

Recently I traveled to the beautiful shores of lake Erie.....

 By: watercolors : September 24th, 2015-06:38
I share with you a few of my memories. Best Edward ...

Thank you for your kind words Nicolas.....

 By: watercolors : September 25th, 2015-00:46
Erie is one of five great lakes belonging to both USA and Canada , there is a lot to be said about their beauty, I had the opportunity to see all of them. Believe me the are long lasting memories Edward

I don't doubt about that. [nt]

 By: amanico : September 25th, 2015-01:18

Thank you very much hs111 it is a keeper ....

 By: watercolors : September 25th, 2015-00:50
and being so robust my 657 is a great travel companion Best Edward

The first shot is top! :) [nt]

By: blomman Mr Blue : September 24th, 2015-13:30

Thank you blomman for your kind words...

delivering a decent photo is a very much a moment of happiness Cordially Edward

Wonderful trip pic..,,

 By: KIH : September 24th, 2015-19:40
And beautiful watch! Thanks for sharing! Ken

Thank you Ken....

 By: watercolors : September 25th, 2015-01:01
Visiting this vast lake is pretty much like standing at the edge of the ocean, except that the waves are gentler and the water is not salty at all With Sinn on your arm what else a man can long? Warm Regards Edward

Your Sinn really camouflages itself nicely into the environment

 By: KMII : September 24th, 2015-22:52
Is that already on the replacement strap or on the original one?

Thank you KMII for your kind words....

 By: watercolors : September 25th, 2015-01:05
the strap is a replacement one, the first one lasted about three years. Sinn is blending nicely and would look good even with a dress shirt Best Edward

Seems plausible

 By: KMII : September 25th, 2015-12:16
It is certainly discreet enough!

When I travel, I try to be "under the radar"...

 By: nilomis : September 24th, 2015-06:59
Here is a sample set: For more formal meetings, nothing beats a simple Reverso: For sportive events, a Bullhead fits nice: Not a GMT watch but it plays nice because the 9300 movement (and the 8500) allows the hour to jump back and forth. For multiple time...

Wonderful photography Nilo!... Such a feast...

 By: Subexplorer : September 24th, 2015-08:58
... for our eyes! That is a watch for each occassion! Well chosen! Love the watches, and of course these awesome pictures! Have a nice week end! Very cordially, Abel.

Great lineup, Nilo! :) [nt]

By: blomman Mr Blue : September 24th, 2015-13:31

As always, superb pic!

 By: KIH : September 24th, 2015-19:58
I like the golf ball shot! Ken

What great pics!

 By: KMII : September 24th, 2015-22:56
While hard to choose a favorite, I guess the Bullhead just inches ahead for me Just seems to transport the period cool so well into current times.

Never seen the ANA Seiko before

 By: KMII : September 24th, 2015-22:59

 By: hs111 : September 25th, 2015-12:36
Well, this Reverso is a great travel companion, 2 faces, easy GMT mechanism & the verso side versatile for easy evenings.. Of course the ABR & Rolex GMT obviously are more on the robust side.. Thx again & HAGWE ! hs

Probably the first time I see a Reverso in a naval setting

 By: KMII : September 25th, 2015-11:16
And it looks really nice. The ABR is naturally always a good choice (just got one myself, so excited about every one I see)

Likely to outlast the environment, though ;)

 By: KMII : September 25th, 2015-08:17
Cool combinations and both the watch and environment are great!

I had wanted to make a trip to Salzburg by train today..

Trains are patchy, true that
