Since i started this hobby, i've always wanted a yellow gold watch. In fact, my first expensive watch was a Yellow gold plated Montblanc Star, with breguet numbers...a very handsome watch. But it was a quartz, so when i began to admire mechanical watches , i sold it.
Few years after that, i bought a Yellow gold Cartier Tank Solo...a solid gold watch...that was a progress...but still a quartz.
Then in 2017 i bought A rose gold Cartier Tank Louis Cartier with mechanical movement. A very lovely watch and until today, still my most expensive watch. Again, my heart still looked for Yellow gold. So i gave the Tank to my wife (occasionally i still wear it, because its just a very refined and beautiful piece).
After 7 years, last week i finnaly found my dream : A (preowned) Breguet Heritage ref 3670 in yellow gold. Automatic caliber 532 (Lemania 1352-based), no date, perfect size at 34 x 42 mm. Curved case, curved glass, curved caseback, sits very comfortably on my wrist.
I had considered Breguet clasique ref 5920, but decided that the tonneau case of 3670 is more unique and rare, and i have too many round watches. Also a first generation of Marine was available, but after some research i found that it use JLC cal 889, which more delicate than Lemania caliber.
Since this acquisition, i become smitten by Breguet, and looking forward to get the newest Marine in rose gold. I think Breguet is a gem in a watch world, without hype, celebrities ad, silly game with AD, etc. And i hope it stay that way.
A true curved watch. This is all the curved watch should made, not with flat caseback.
