Hi Ed,
the event was great, great place to go and visit.
We were invited in the private salon, first floor, champaign and "petits fours".
Then the collection was introduced by the boutique manager, very precise in his description, and rapidly focusing on the one I had to see, I mean this splendid regulator.
I was not that aware of their current collection. In the past I ve been looking for a 1.96 Chopard Luc Mark III anthracite dial that has a great value for the money but did not find it.
Then had the opportunity to offer to my wife a vintage Chopard LUC lady "baignoire" that seems to be quite rare mentioned Chopard.
Their watchmaker was there and showed us that inside the movement of the regulator, under bridges, exclusive Chopard poinçon de Geneve finishing was applied. Then "anglage" of the "ancre"... I did not imagine that anglage could be applied to a such tiny part!
Later I had on the wrist this particular tribute Nico wished to see in the flesh. Enamel 48mm dial, fantastic watch.
Definitely good event, I met many Purists I do not remember every names but cool people...
Thanks to Nico, FX, MikeH, Dimitri (red reverso) and .. Forgot your name but not your Montblanc Rieussec chronograph.
Best, Cyril
