Dear all, You have already seen many of the images from the recent PuristS Paris GTG ( 1 2 3 ) and while I am still sorting out all the photos from the trip, I thought I would present to you some of the watches that were around (on wrists, in pockets, in ...
It's a gold Longines with a single button flyback seconds. The writing on the dial is "Longines, 17 jewels" and "Brevet" (patented in French). Others can give you more detail, but it's a striking piece with the black dial and gold lettering/hands against ...
a short while ago here, Arthur. home.watchprosite.com It's worth looking at the whole thread. The movement I show is from this watch. It is not as well known a movement as the 13zn, more of a Longines insiders watch, but it is an inhouse Longines ...
All is there, the ambiance, watches, friendship, through your wonderful pics. This M 9 works very well! I am specially impressed by the detailed pictures of the 6542 dial. It was a pleasure to have you with us, and you know it, Paris is your 2d home, now!...
please don't do it... and as I remember you haven't got any left...or you hide it from us??? That would be completely unacceptable!! Best Damjan This message has been edited by Ares501 on 2012-05-01 03:42:30
Fantastic watches and some amazing vintage. That bakelite GMT of Nico's is oustanding. Your photo of that Vintgage Rose memovox just makes me want one. Very glad to see picture 13 and sad at the same time for me. I am pretty sure this is the JLC reference ...
Is that an original Lindbergh or the re-issue? That JLC triple calender with horn lugs is divine - just like Picasso used to wear except in SS Love to hear all about your trip Julian
I can warrant for that..the owner is extraordinary haunter of vintage Longines & Breitling and awesome guy too... so I hasn't had a heart to snitch it Best D
how nice person I am! Seriously it is very dangerous to go to GTGs specially in Paris you can hook to vintage & independent & high horology & niche watches ...and alcohol as well Best D
at these GTG's. They can plant very dangerous seeds in the brain! Not helped by your European industrial grade paintstripper , grappa! Another one before the year is out I think!
I truly wish I could have joined you! I still had lots to take care of even after becoming "free" so to speak.... Hope to visit PuristS globally someday... Thanks for the pics! Ken
We moved regularly from cafe to restaurant and back again, and to tell you the truth I just followed the crowd. So here are a few miscellaneous photos to put the watches in context. Andrew Our mascot, who never kept still long enough to take a photo! Dinn...
This brings back the weekend so well, Andrew. You have captured so many of the watches beautifully and the spirit of this marathon GTG. So glad you could make this one, it was a revelation of watches and people. Until the next one!
I must have been under a rock. Fantastic GTG. Paris is the official city to avoid if ones try to close a theme in his collection. LOL When Purist gather you can be surf there will be passion and friendship. Regards Tyler
