But, as an old Oxford Boat Race Blue, I wasn't too sure if I could deign to wear a watch that had Cambridge Blue on it!!!!  All Dark Blue maybe.  Light Blue induce?  H'mmm......  The idea, of course, is something of which I wholeheartedly approve!

It is a quintessentially English sporting event. In the modern world it makes hardly any sense at all: a private duel between two universities that has continued, with the occasional World War interruption for 185 years. This year it was the 160th running...

And a great history lesson. It is an event buried deep in my childhood memories when I lived by the River Thames. I actually really like the watch although I could do without BNY Mellon written on the dial. But to be honest, as you say this is a quintesse...

the boats go by. I disagree, I think the watch would look good with the standard Hackett attire, as well as Boat Race kit! Glad it brought back good memories. Andrew H

me know by PM. I rowed with Cambridge and hence the shots of the watch are all with the only colour blue that matters! Andrew H
