What I really like about the GP is the glossy, deep black of the dial!

It doesn't come through on your photos, but this colour is really something... would deserve a high resolution pic. I would have loved to see the Dato dial in such a deep and comforting black instead of the matte (to me: dull) black it got.

Anyway, great lineup, Francois!

Cheers,

Urinosuke

Each with it's own character and charm..... Cheers Francois...

"Nice" is an understatement. A triumvirate of haute horlogerie!

The iconic original Datograph JLC's Duometre--a marvel of engineering and a lovely design And one of my favorite GPs Cheers, John

Understatement......

It's more a case of under-skilled photographer:) I agree with you, these 3 pieces are of very high horological value. Chronography thought of from different perspectives. Thank you John Cheer Francois

Now that...

... is what I call "quality time" with a good book! Your collection has immense presence and charisma. Each is distinct in character but complementary in size, shape, color palette, and horological significance. Granted, the Dato and Duo play in something...

Quality time......

Indeed Tim. I couldn't play golf yesterday, the course was booked for Junior Comp. I thought well, let's play and take some pictures of these three black dials Chronographs and what happened? I did my back taking pictures;) what a hopeless sod I am:) I th...

A wonderful, heavyweight trio...

May they never need servicing! ;-) Cheers, pplater.

Heavy for sure.....

Must be the characteristics of the metal;) I should have a good 5-7 years of pleasure before sending them away, breaking my heart and my wallet:) Thank you Pplater. Cheers Francois

Good lord! Those are my 3 Grail chronographs!

My friend, you are living my fantasy life. All the best, cholack

Ahaha! Fantasy life......

 By: Sandgroper : March 30th, 2015-01:21
I have lived and continue to live in fantasy in an otherwise not so "fantasy" world! Thank you Cholack. Cheers Francois

All very charming!

My favorite of the trio is the JLC, but I wouldn't turn any of them away! ;-) A lovely collection! Cheers, Daos

Thank you Daos.....

The Duometre is "a discussion about time" kind of Chronograph, for sure. Kind regards Francois

Agree with you that the black dials on all three are not as "deep" as in reality, I was playing with the camera trying to get a softer more "romantic" feel. Next step will be to get sharp and deep pictures;) I'll be back:) Cheers Francois

Add a Vacheron Malte and a Villeret Montblanc, and you are in heaven.

 By: amanico : March 29th, 2015-22:31
The JLC Duometre and the Lange Dato Dato are in my opinion, the finest Chronos from their category. The two mentionned above, and especially the Villeret Montblanc, belong to this category. I have to see the Patek 5370P, but I have the feeling it is anoth...

No Malte, not even a single Malt.......

But I will get the Historique Chronograph next. I need to practice taking pictures, I mean, nice pictures. Thank you my friend Cheers Francois

Agree Nico.....
