... Lange does some kind of "heavy testing" with something like a hammer when it comes to the Datograph, but I am more than happy that it was not a player who came with that specific watch.
There has been at least one watch on a players wrist (while playing) and I catched it for you, my friend:
It was not an easy task as I did it with a range finder camera and 50mm lens, only. Lucky me/you it was good enough to share after some adjustments with photoshop 
The watch shown (above & below) was the Bucherer Patravi ChronoDate Polo Edition, which makes sense as it was one of the players from the Bucherer team.
@Nico: Be brave there was no Reverso during the Polo. OK, to be honest I spotted one on a ladies wrist which was one of the "official" polo photographers
Fancy watches on peoples wrist is rare over here as well, but not on special occassions. Recently I see more nice watches at our Saturday market, but on tourists wrists ...
