Greetings followed by product introduction by the new General Manager of ORIS Singapore, Ms Irene Ang.

Oris RAID Chronograph Limited Edition

Oris is the new time keeper and Official Watch Partner of the RAID classic car rallies.
To commemorate the occasion of the 20th RAID Suisse-Paris,  Oris launched a 500-piece limited edition chronograph with a dial design
inspired by the rev counter of a 1952 Jaguar XK 120.

Multi-piece stainless steel case, diameter 43.50mm.

The caseback with the RAID logo and serial number.

Oris BC3 Advanced

Oris BC3 Advanced, black DLC coated 42mm case and the whole dial is coated with black Superluminova.
When the dial is charged by a UV sources like sunlight or UV light, the dial will display in inverse-video.

Screw down crown with red inlay to give a touch of speed to this BC3.  Water resistance to 100m.

Rubber strap with black DLC  coated steel buckle.

Oris BC3 Sportsman

Similar to the BC3 Advanced (above) as it was a re-design of ORIS most popular pilot watch.

Nice play of metal surface with brushed and polished finishing to provide contrast.

Oris Oscar Peterson Limited Edition

Oris honoured Oris Oscar Peterson, a Jazz pianist with this Limited Edition of 1925 pieces (the year Oscar was born).

As he loved Roman numerals, the roman indexes were placed, and specifically 'VIII' was plated in gold, referencing to the eight Grammys
he won during his lifetime.

The indexes took the form of  piano keys while the dial with grooved concentric circles  signifying the LP.

An autograph of Oscar Peterson was printed too.

Case diameter is 42 mm.

Interesting case, multi-piece stainless steel construction.

Case back with the Oscar Peterson lion logo and the serial number of the LE.

Oris WilliamsF1 Team Day Date 2010

This year is Oris’ seventh full season as an Official Partner of the AT&T Williams team.

Similar design as last year with a change from red speed theme to blue.

44mm diameter steel case, black PVD.

Good flexi-lug design which wears well on small wrist too.

The rubber straps with black PVD folding clasp.

Oris Darryl O’Young Limited Editions

Darryl O’Young, Oris Ambassador , is the first ever Double Porsche Carrera Cup Asia (PCCA) Class A Champion, in his Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (Type 997).
The Oris Darryl O’Young Limited Editions is inspired by the technical features on the awesome Porsche 911 GT3 RSR and the 911 GT3 Cup (43.50 mm and 41.00 mm).

Each model is limited to 997 pieces  – a nod to the Type 997 Porsches.

The glass dial spots the Porsche wheel rim pattern.  The Superluminova Arabic figures are in Microgramma typeface, the same as on the dashboard
of the Porsche car Darryl races.

The glass dial allows a glimpse of the calender wheel and portions of the movement, giving it a 3D layering effect.

Beautiful curved case shape.  The LE serial number is engraved on the 9H side.

Domed sapphire crystal and integrated flexible lugs.

A look of the glass dial with the "printed wheel spokes" and Microgramma fonts ...

A very nicely executed dial which is anti-reflective coated on both sides to eliminate reflection which could spoil the layering effect.

Oris Col Moschin Limited Edition

This model was developed with the Col Moschin, the Italian Special Forces unit, is one of the world’s toughest regiments and was tested by them,  to withstand and function under the harsh environments from air, land to  deep sea.

The 49mm diameter case is of titanium, coated with camouflaging gunmetal grey DLC  with a hard tungsten bezel-top ring.

The power reserve indicator has three colours indicating the remaining power.  Green is near full, while red is near to empty, with white  in the middle.  Perhaps it also represents the Italy Flag colours too.

Hands and indexes are with Superluminova for low light reading.

The screw down caseback is engraved with the serial number of the watch and  the official logo of the Col Moschin regiment.
The Roman sword symbolises readiness, precision and focus on achieving the objective of a mission – whatever it takes.

Screw down crown and water resistance to 1000 m.

The Rotation Safety System (RSS) developed and patented by Oris is an innovation first seen in 2009 on the Oris ProDiver Chronograph that makes this one of the safest divers’ watches there is.

Only when the top ring is lifted can the dive timer be set. After setting it can be relocked to the case to prevent accidental adjustment.

The above picture showed the top ring was lifted (observe the gap between the top ring and lug)  ....

The above pic showed the top ring depressed and secured.

Rubber strap with adjustable extendable gunmetal DLC coated safety clasp.

The adjustable safety clasp allows the strap to be extended or shortened rapidly, without having to remove the watch from the wrist. This also means the watch can be worn over a wetsuit, ski gloves, or a flight suit, without having to change straps. The chunky rubber strap guarantees wearer comfort in every situation, is also anti-reflective and highly durable.

Hi Ronald Thanks for viewing. What do you think of the BC3 Advance? Kong

Thanks for bringing these to ...

our attention Kong. Interesting designs I must say and the Col Moskin appeals to me in a certain kind of way as a diver/summer/beater type of watch. The material used are quite appropriate and I wonder how it looks & feels in the metal. Is it too big at 49...

Would you 'like to be' a diver or commando? :-)

 By: Kong : June 7th, 2010-02:55
Hi Fernando Thanks for viewing. For the weight, it is not light to me, with the tungsten bezel. Since it is subjective, best you could find and try on one. Indeed this a good all-rounder tool watch. Perhaps you could check out last collection's ProDiver. ...

HQ watches. I like them.

The Col Moschlin looks great. Too big for me but I like the look. Oris makes very good watches at a very fair price. I bought a BC3 many years a go, it was my everyday watch for a while. Now it's been resting in the box for some years. I miss a screw in c...

Well said ...

Vte, I think that's the draw to the brand, fair price for the quality. Perhaps you should send in for servicing and get the crown replaced. How in the world, the crown was missing? Kong

Oscar Peterson model is intriguing to me

I ike the piano motif. It's fun and whimsical. The BC3 is the other model that interests me. I'm not sure how legible the all-black version would be, even with all that Superluminova. Great post! Cheers, Daos

Visibility ...

 By: Kong : June 8th, 2010-23:47
for the BC3 Advanced is alright, however, the background Superluminova may not be easily charged up under normal lightings. Thanks for viewing, Daos. Do you play any music instrument? Kong

I play guitar rather poorly...

 By: dxboon : June 9th, 2010-00:03
...but I have a passion for music! Daos

That's great!

 By: Kong : June 9th, 2010-00:21
I tried and could not make it :-( Will try again when have the time...otherwise the Gibson is collecting dust now. Kong

What model do you have?

 By: dxboon : June 9th, 2010-00:32
I have a '68 Hummingbird, and used to also own a '32 L-00. I'm down to only 3 guitars now (from 5). My grail is a 1942 Gibson Southern Jumbo, with the "banner" on the headstock that reads, "Only A Gibson Is Good Enough." Amen, to that! Cheers, Daos

Electric ..

 By: Kong : June 9th, 2010-00:37
Les Paul Studio. Wow! You've three....seemed to be at one time, wished to go professional Kong

Les Pauls are fun guitars, although I no longer play electric.

 By: dxboon : June 9th, 2010-01:16
If I count my old electric guitar, which is long gone, that makes 6 guitars previously! I toy with the idea of picking up a '54 Gibson Oxblood Reissue, but I realize that I only love that guitar because I'm crazy about Jeff Beck. Cheers, Daos

Very interesting!

 By: Kong : June 9th, 2010-01:37
Daos Your idol, Jeff Beck seemed to be back, performed with Eric Clapton several months ago. Lucky last time, has tight budget, otherwise will have Fenders too Perhaps you have given an idea to ORIS....soon we may see ebony dial with nitro and frets as in...

Thanks Kong for the review

I like the color contrast of the Williams F1 with the black color and the blue accent ring around the outside case and blue hands. Thanks for the photo coverage. Regards, ED-209

Thanks Ed ...

This piece with blue ring looks better than previous year with red. The blue seems to 'glow' Kong

Glow is the perfect word to describe it

Hi Kong, Exactly, my eyes were drawn to the blue 'glow' around the black case. It really makes the watch attractive. Regards, ED-209
