to a wonderful watch. Beautiful work Don. I hope that next time someone without half a brain says
to me "you can't MAKE a watch!", I'm going to show them your 4 posts, and then laugh. Not at them,
but at the fact that people these days, despite all the technology we have, still seem to believe no one
can make anything tangible anymore by hand. Things all appear now by "magic".
For every person I have met, even people who work as professional watchmakers, that have bluntly told
me, laughing at me, "nobody makes a watch anymore, you're crazy", your work gives me hope. It can be
done, and even before I saw your work Don, I knew of Daniels. If he could do it, given his background,
anyone with serious determination and high skill, given time, can. You are one of a handful of people in
the world who has endeavored towards this, and you've succeeded, quite handsomely at that.
Someday, hopefully soon, I will join your world Don. And look out- because with my background, and what
I know, I plan on making everything- even the ruby jewels themselves, from raw materials. It's not as hard as
it sounds- much like you, all you need is the right equipment, the skill, and the know-how (don't forget patience!)
I have nothing but patience. And as soon as I find a suitable research lab model crystal furnace at a reasonable
price, watch out Don,
Again, beautiful work.
