Being a heavy cigar smoker, let me explain...

... Its not a cigar cutter. And u do not cut the cigar with the part on the watch. You use the gold part ( a small round razor blade ) that is taken off the watch to creat a hole in the cigar by screwing it in the cigar instead of cutting it. Its more precise then cutting the cigars. It protects the "capuchon" that is the end of the cigars from which u will smoke it.

Doesn't work on small modules, works only on the big cigars, meaning those with a serious diameter, like the epicure number 2 on those pics ( smoking one as i am writing this thread ) smile
As i cannot see the reverse of the golden part with " JMG" on it, i suppose this is the way to use it.

IF NOT, then its only for one size of cigars that fits the hole in the watch. But i doubt, cigar lovers that would be mad enough to buy such a watch must be real amateurs, and real amateurs love changing modules and cigar types.

P.s: More of a gadget, i still love to do it with my teeth smile

The most useful watch for a cigar smoker, an idea from Jean-Mairet Gillman

 By: foversta : February 3rd, 2009-13:39
At least an useful complication ! Cesar Jean-Mairet tries to help us with this watch, perfect for the foolish smokers who forget their cigar cutter. I met Mr Jean-Mairet at the 4 Seasons in which an exhibition was organized during the SIHH. I would like t...

Being that I'm not a cigar smoker, can u explain what is on the watch?

I'm assuming it's a cigar cutter but how does it work? The cigar in the picture is obviously too big to fit in that hole. Sorry but I'm a cigar idiot Cheers, Anthony

Some sort of cigar "punch" cutter?

 By: glickman : February 3rd, 2009-14:23
I am a cigar smoker. I usually use a "guillotine" type cutter, but many smokers use a circular punch to cut a small hole in the tip of the cigar.

I think you're right. [nt]

No.

 By: foversta : February 3rd, 2009-15:07
It is not a perpetual calendar. It has a second timezone (12 hours indication with the retrograde hand), a night/day + day + weeks indications The diameter of the chronograph is 41mm. Fr.Xavier

Ooooh, I see now
