Not just "for the few" as you said but for 10 discerning persons 
It is not beyond the realm of possibility that there are at least 10 people in the world who have the wherewithall to afford a mere GBP 45,000 when just one of their watches costs GBP 250k. Just like people match cars to their watches (Aston Martin, Bentley, AMG etc)
Besides, think of the savings! Yes - savings:
Instead of trying to buy a pen to match every watch (e.g. Breguet, Montblanc, Porsche Design), just this one pen can be used with ALL of one's Swiss watches. At a push, it could even be matched with German or Japanese high-end mechanical watches
