Just because there is a bit of DNA in a concept does not mean that that DNA is a positive point. After having copied each other to oblivion and exhausted the possibilities of tourbillions, watch makers are now going back to the past to see what they can relaunch that wasn't done properly then, for technological or commercial reasons. Some designs certainly deserve a second chance. But I would not wear this watch if you gave me one for free. It's unsightly, it just is, whatever the little oversized block of metal may hold. It's too big, too clunky-looking, and for that money there are watches around that are perhaps less unconventional, but more wearable, and, crucially, show more of the mechanics involved. What this watch needs is a make-over, one that allows the user to see what goes on inside. That would make up for the giant size, the price and the chintzy colour. Give me one that shows the mechanics inside, and I'll wear it.
